Apart from the tracks themselves, there are 10 special yellow wheels to
drive them, and four large frames to build the tracks around.
There are no other special LEGO parts in the set. Unless you count the
corrugated tubing, of course. There are probably some unique lengths of
this.
Oh, and there are two "containers" included in the set, which are not
"LEGO bricks" as such, but rather some flimsy boxes made from folding
plastic sheets. Designed to be played with in conjuction with the
"truck" model, I guess, but I've never used them.
There are also some special parts in the 8482 set which are quite rare
yet: Grey locking connectors without the locking notches. These are
probably still quite rare in the US, as there are no sets available
there which has them. To my knowledge, anyway. But they are appearing
in the new 8445 Indy Storm. (Look for the grey parts in the lower front
of the vehicle.)
