   This might not be exactly what you think it is.  My
understanding of X-10
is that this home automation standard piggybacks its data signals over the
AC electrical wiring in your house.

This device is really wireless. Check http://www.x10.com for details. It
operates in the 2.4 GHz range. The basic transmitter/receiver set is $75
(VK22A).
