ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS!!??? DOOD! That's an unfriendly deadline,
but $150 is incredibly cheap for a small camera AND transmitter AND
receiver. $350 is sort of average price.
A friend of mine needs to transmit NTSC about 500-1000 feet, but
with line-of-sight. That either requires a 25- to 100-fold increase
in transmitter power, or better antennas on both ends. I'm not
sure if a parabolic antenna would be good, because the transmitter
will be moving a bit unpredictably. Still, for $150 you can't go
wrong.
But before I jump up and down with glee, "midnight" June 24 is
kind of ambiguous. Technically, 12:00 AM June 24 is the point
in time between June 23 and 24, which already happened. Think
they mean that, or end of June 24?

And don't give up when you get a 404/not found---the url does
work, but the web seems to be (understandably) stressed
Thank you Jason, for digging up this link!

| For all of you who have dreamed (like me) of hooking up a video camera to a bot, here's your chance. A company called X10 is selling something called an Xcam. This is in conjuction with them giving away (for 5.90 shipping) a product called the (...) (25 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)
