Good question. I had hoped that the PBTxPower command would allow a
higher setting but it appears that it is for 'reducing' the IR when two
Mindstorms are communicating with each other.
First tests do not look very encouraging, but I would need to properly
test the range with fresh batteries.(I keep running my partly charged
nicads down playing with the tractor grabber model thingy). Also I need
to set up a video camera so I can see where the unit is going when
wandering off into the hall.
I wonder if those using higher voltage DC supplies get more reliable
transmission even if not necessarily more range.

| At least there's one thing that CyberMaster proved - That 3 inputs is not the limit of the H8 or even all the LEGO PBricks. Clearly CyberMaster have 5 inputs, although 2 of them are fixed just like the 2 fixed motors (which is not as bad as it (...) (26 years ago, 11-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)
