  Re: Extra NXT sensors?

(...) Have you checked Lego's online shop? They are available for most regions. (URL) expect they are stocked in Lego Shops too, but there are none near me. Regards, Tony Naggs (18 years ago, 20-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Extra NXT sensors?

Hi, Anyone know where I can get extra NXT sensors? (I'm still slightly surprised that there's only one touch sensor supplied with the kit!) PS I have found that building a compact 2 wheel + castor NXT robot is harder than it looks! :-) (18 years ago, 20-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: iCommand 0.5 Setup/Test Problem

Ok so today I just tried again (did nothing differently) and it all worked fine - cool! Connected PC to NXT, then ran the test prog from Eclipse and I was driving the NXT around the floor 5 seconds later. I suspect my problem was something to do (...) (19 years ago, 19-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

In article <J8tLEE.oC2@lugnet.com>, Claude Baumann <cbaumann@ci.educ.lu> writes (...) Why? What is there that I should be looking for? (...) Every email & news posting titled "cool link" says this. Maybe it is a newly discovered law of physics. (...) (19 years ago, 18-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) /snip I'm not sure that I get this. I am talking of a site with very cool contents and normally I disregard cosmetic things. I would like to hear comments or questions on the contents of this web-site. I personnally saw the robot-arm working. (...) (19 years ago, 18-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  iCommand 0.5 Setup/Test Problem

Hi, Just trying out iCommand 0.5, following the instructions in the README file. Have done all steps (except the step "In Eclipse, select the RXTXcomm.jar you just added and expand it by clicking +..." as I can't see how you can expand a jar and (...) (19 years ago, 17-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Support for Robolab 2.5.4 on Intel iMac

I am a LEGO Robolab Mentor. The PC adminstrator installing Robolab on new Intel-based iMacs is having an issue with version 2.5.4. The main splash screen locks up. Has anyone seen this issue and is there a solution? Is using the 2.9 software the (...) (19 years ago, 17-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: NXT firmware?

(...) Hmm, then how would all of the MDP participants have upgraded their bricks? (I'm operating under the -- possibly faulty -- assumption that the bricks shipped out as a part of this program were running pre-release firmware.) Or did they all go (...) Hi Dick, (...) is SAMBA available when a LEGO firmware is flashed? If you first have to do a long reset to activate SAMBA then that will wipe the first few kilobytes of flash, so the image will be incomplete and useless. (...) I second that. (...) (19 years ago, 15-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  GCC toolchain available for NXT

  RE: NXT firmware?

I think you'll be happy with simply upgrading to 1.03. You may be ultra-conservative in wanting to back up 1.01. I don't have a copy of 1.01 but here's what you can do to create your own image. It will require some effort on your part. Go to (...) (19 years ago, 15-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Nathan, Unfortunately, I don't think V1.01 was ever posted anywhere for public distribution. I know V1.03 includes some fixes for the I2C used by 3rd party sensors. Steve (19 years ago, 15-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  NXT firmware?
