I would strongly suspect that the ones on the kornylak site are cheaper, and can be builk purchased, which would be a worthwhile advantage over the Charmed Labs ones, when (...) (...) not find any more battery gunk. Everything looked okay, no obvious signs of damage. Since this is a newer unit, the battery tabs are soldered to the board. If I place a meter on the + and - terminals, it shows a short. If I place a meter on (...) (19 years ago, 28-May-06, to lugnet.robotics)

I agree - and furthermore, whilst a dead short might well cause a battery leak (when the batteries get hot, the contents can expand and rupture the cell) - it's kinda unusual for a battery leak to cause a dead short - the corrosive gunk inside (...) I have a 2.0 RCX that is only about 6 months old. I had just put a new set of batteries in it the other day and it was working fine. Just wondering whether the same (unmodified) program will also work when you set the robot to follow in the opposite direction. It appears that you're following the outer edge of the line and I was wondering about the performance when following the (...) (19 years ago, 26-May-06, to lugnet.robotics)
