Both "types" of port are 6 wire. Assuming 2 lines for power, what are the other
4? My guess? 2 are for digital sensor comms, and (hopefully) these 4 lines are
the same for both motor & sensor ports. The other 2 are for motor control on the
motor ports, and for ??? on sensor ports. Maybe ??? means NXT will still be able
to use the analogue sensors from RCX with an appropriate converter lead? Note
that same lead MAY also allow you to use the current Technic motors on the the
motor outputs. This is all conjecture (with fingers crossed beind my back).

It has been said elsewhere that there is no adapter port. But given that it uses
6 AA batteries, one has to assume that all supplies it needs are generated from
a single 9V supply.

Hmmm interesting idea, I don't see why not. Of course the implementation is well
beyond my sphere of knowlegde :)

From my limited knowledge of Bluetooth (gained in the last few days!) I would
say, there can only be one "conversation" at once. However like single-taking
CPUs, with an appropriate protocol and good programming, they can "look" like
they are carrying on more than one conversation concurrently.

| (...) (SNIP) (...) This is what I'd like to figure out: Sensor and motor expansion: 1. What is the sensor port protocol (electronically speaking - internal circuit diagrams with voltage and current levels, timing etc...)? 2. What is the motor port (...)
