Hi all !!!

I am listening JCX, a new word in my small dictionary
I am listening too, more sensors and motors in only one
robot, really!!!!

Where can I see this moster??
Where can I read more information about is??
When and where  can I buy one of them???
How much it cost???

I have 3 RCX robots and I agree with you about RCX
comunication slow and I hate it too.

Regards for all and please answer my questions!!

Well, I for one am VERY interested in the JCX. The price is way out of my
range, but the power and expandability of the JCX are very compelling. I
actually tried to talk Bruce into lending me a JCX for my thesis project
which involves a fairly advanced Lego robot:) Currently I am using two RCX's
and I hate it. The RCX's communicate back and forth, but fundamentally the
robot has two separate brains. You don't have real time access to six
sensors and motors. The IR communication is quite slow and limited. Dividing
up the resources between the two RCX's is a real headache. And splitting the
program in two is also a pain.
I don't think the processing power of the RCX is terribly limiting, its just
the I/O. I can deal with integer math, but having only 3 sensors (per RCX)
is ridiculous. Right now I am just barely getting by with 6 sensors. Even if
I had a third RCX, I wouldn't even consider trying three way IR
communication. So, when the JCX comes out, I may just have to save up $750
(gasp) of my Canadian dollars and buy one.
