Re: NQC 2.31b 1 and the RCXcc

I am responding to both Mario and Gus in this one post. I am trying to update my RCXcc so it can use the newer versions of NQC and RCX2 under Windows ME. Mario writes (...) must (...)   Re: RIS SDK - Comments and questions

(...) No. The Microscout doesn't have an IR detector. The microscout really is a piece of junk. The business of having the motor inside the computer makes it hard to build into things, the pre-built programs are not at all well thought out (where is (...)   RIS SDK - Comments and questions

I have just started to try this - is it ever cool. I notice that the Brick options are RCX, Scout and MicroScout - Does this mean that I can program the MicroScout using the RIS Tower ? - If so, do I use LASM ? - I assume that I put it in P-mode ...   Re: Shrimp, Lobster & more...

(...) The mechanism to steer these two wheels in sync would be a bit tricky, though, considering that the wheels are suspended independently. An easier and more flexible way is to steer the two wheels separately, but attach a rotation sensor to each (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Micro-Switches, Mux

hi Tim, I've made an overview of the different kinds of multiplexers (including mine :-)), and the ultimate suggestion to mux up to 8 switches. If you still not believe, you can download the Excel program from the same page. (...) -- met (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Micro-Switches, Mux

See (URL) for a 3-input design (which I tried to build and made it look very nice--but I was remembering the values from memory. I ended using resistors a factor-of-1000 too small ;)) However, I don't think that'll help much with a 4-mux. There is (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Black friction peg size

Hello, As to my knowledge, there are two sorts of black friction pegs. Sort 1 is the oldest one. It has the usual form of a peg, but it has full-length ribbons on it: from the middle to the end, there's a ridge to cause the friction. These pegs stay (...)   Re: Wall transformer for RCX

The safest bet is to use a transformer that comes with one of the LEGO train sets. I asked LEGO via email and they recommended using one of these. Here are the specs of of it: Input: 120VAC 60 Hz .12A Output: 12VAC 7 VA (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)
