The first time I noticed the less thick black pegs was in the 8448 Superstreet sensation and in the other technic sets from the same year (8444, 8445, 8446). It seems to me that there are 4 different kinds of black pegs that came out over time, but (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

 | | Black friction peg size

While I was makeing a simply fixture to mount black friction pegs in a lathe, I discovered that they come in two different wall thicknesses! I had never seen a posting about this and I had never noticed it before, but it accounts for why some things (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I have seen a number of post asking the same question, What to use for external power for the RCX (ver 1.0) I have been using RadioShack; cat # 273 1631 - 9v 800mA AC This transformer has the correct size jack. The output voltage is adjustable. I (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I have a NQC program that is not working properly. However, when ever I complie and run a smaller section of the code it works fine. The basics of the code is the following: 1. wait until you get a valid message from RCX1 (code is for RCX2) 2. go (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) These are (far better) comments than I was going to make wrt to scout and micro-scout. Essentially, the scout and micro-scout allow you to experiment with team and cooperative robotics--as Miles said: "a higher level". I bought my 7.5 YO son a (...) Like Xanthra47 wrote, there's still room for the first shrimp that can steer :-) On this topic I have some ideas. I would use the four central wheels like tracks, blocking the inner ones in the turn (or slowing down them) while keeping the outers at (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Some of the Scout's built-in programs emit Visible Light Link codes from its LED (output port 3) to trigger built-in programs in the Micro (...) With repect to the RCX, what use are the Droid Developer Kits (DDK) beyond their appearing limited 7 firmware programs ? I do think they are attractive to the younger lego maniacs - so I'm not slamming them. Actually I got one today for my 8 year (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Oh no more competition on the shrimp :-( I thought I was going to build the first lego shrimp. Oh well, I guess I can learn from the other models and try to build a better one.
