IR tower problems

WHile i was plugging in the cable for the IR tower, i heard a snap and
noticed that some pins on the plug got shoved halfway into the computer. How
should i fix this. Also If i were to get a USB adapter for the plug, and
plugged it into the computer, would the computer recognize it.

(...) If you open up the computer, you should be able to push them back into place from the back of the connector. However, once they get displaced like that, it'll happen more and more often. In the end, you'll have to push the tower cable into the (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)
