Try to get the version 2.0 RCX so you will have the eternal power connector. Saves a lot on Batteries. Buy Dave Baums book, "Definitive Guide to Lego MindStorms". Also, Jonathan Knudsen's " The Unofficial Guide to Lego MindStorms Robots" is very (...) (24 years ago, 8-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I just got my first computer ,a laptop actually. now I am saving my pennies for the RIS set. Yesterday I received from a toystore a video with some advertisement material on to be presented on a monitor in the store. Lucky for me the store didn't have a monitor or video. From what I've been able to figure, you need to bypass the irDA queue on the Palm to send straight bits over the IR port. This is possible by going to the hardware itself.
