  Re: TLG support

Hej Marco! (...) At least in Germany it works this way, too. No hassles - free replacement - great service. And until now they've always responded to my emails within 3 to 5 days... Happy building, Sven (25 years ago, 2-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Pneumatic tubing...

(...) I use tubing that is typically used for the fuel lines in R/C airplanes. The tubing I bought is a little more "rubbery" than the lego tubing, but it still fits snuggly and works fine. I don't recall the ID, OD, etc. I just brought the lego (...) (25 years ago, 2-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Pneumatic tubing...

(...) Has anyone tried the tubing from Pitsco/Dacta? See: (URL) It has a 1/8" ID and a 100 foot roll is $9.00. Is it like the tubing in Pneumatic sets or is it a hard plastic tubing instead of rubber? Thomas (25 years ago, 2-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Pneumatic tubing...

(...) I believe that TLC has used the same tubing in a few non-pneumatic sets. I have one older pneumatic set here so I took a piece of tubing off of it and compared to some pieces that came off of the 6180 Hydro Search Sub. They appear to be quite (...) (...) the (...) Heck, ya got me ;-) Could be rubber, extremely soft polyurethane, or any number of compounds. You'd probably have to ask someone at TLG to identify it. I just bought a few packs of tubing from S@H to make sure I had enough. I get it (...) (25 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Dear Tom (...) it should have been in my original post) is the *material* and *x-sectional dimensions* for the LEGO pneumatic tubing. I have several sources for different kinds of tubing, but I want to get something as near identical to the LEGO (...) (25 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Pneumatic tubing...

(...) I suppose you could check medical supply shops... You could also try www.newark.com, and request a catalog. If you are using Netscape Communicator, just type "pneumatic tubing" (without the quotes) into the URL field, and start with those (...) (25 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Pneumatic tubing...

Dear Tom (...) Thanks for your reply. You'll notice that I mentioned in my original question that the tubing available in the RC shops (which I referred to as poly tubing rather than neoprene -- my bad) is a bit stiff. I had a vague memory of (...) (25 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Pneumatic tubing...

I know I've seen someone suggest a non-LEGO source for tubing compatible with LEGO pneumatics, but after half and hour of searching through past posts I can't locate it (so sorry for any repitition). I have tried auto parts stores (vacuum tubing -- (...) (25 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)
