Info on HP48 calculator and RCX working together?

Does anyone know of any info on the web about using an HP48 series calculator with the RCX? Using the calculators processing ability or memory, or things like that? Using IR to communicate between the 2. I have found some people talking about (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Has the RIS 1.5 been discontinued??

The 2.0 may have improvements, but at $110 or so US, the 1.5 is hard to pass up, for someone just starting out with the RIS. LEGO certainly won't be lowering the MSRP on 2.0! :) Andy (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Handy board

If the handyboard is so handy (as its name implies) does anyone know where I can pick one up in England? Kit or complete form. And where can I get more info on it? (25 years ago, 6-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

RIS 1.5 language: French to English possible?

Re: Which should I get first -Exploration Mars or ultimate Accesories?

Definitely the Ultimate Accessory set if you don't already have one. It also has an angle sensor, which can be quite useful for sensing which way your robot is facing using a differential. The Exploration Mars doesn't have that many pieces in it (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Has the RIS 1.5 been discontinued??

(...) USB tower. No battery. You will soon see a new host of software that can poll all the time. The Power Adapter port is back. This should really save on Batteries. I have 3 1.0 bricks. Would not buy a 1.5. And it's rumored that the extra 16k of (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: proximity detection with laser?

  RCX & Motors

Hi, Here is a very stupid question. Can I attach two motors to the same input? I want to the control to be identical, but driven by two different motors so that I dont need to use any axles. Also, does anyone know of a source for small DC motors (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Ping Pong Ball Lobber

Hi Raoul, This has been a great experience for me. Perhaps I am not that creative, but I ran out of building steam for a while and these contest proposals have certainly solved that. I am looking into adding some voting system to the site, but with (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

We have a Climbing Winnner and New Contest Proposals

The Stair Climbing Contest as BrickBots.Com ended last night and 'Slowpoke' by Thatch was the winner!
