| | RCX Programming on GNU/Linux
So, I am delurking after a year or so to ask if anyone has seen a good way to work with the RCX on Linux. I have available to me RS232 and USB towers, RCX versions 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0, ROBOLAB versions 1.0 through 2.9 (plus bug fix), RIS2.0, as well (...) (16 years ago, 22-Aug-08, to lugnet.robotics)

| | Another little update to nxtgcc.sf.net: 1.05 compatability
Hi The 1.05 sources have been changed toward compatibility with a gcc-toolchain. To save rewriting, I take the liberty of pasting the contents of the readme file that you find in the root directory of the NXTGCC-0.0.10.zip file that can be (...) | | RCX infrared broken -- what now?
I recently dug my old MindStorms sets out of storage after about five years of inactivity. Naturally the RCXes (I have three) all needed to have their firmware re-installed. I was able to successfully refresh two of the bricks but not the third. I (...) (16 years ago, 20-Aug-08, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| | Re: Hmmm... WeDo

(...) Actually, now that you force me to pay attention, I was thinking of the #8886 Power Function to 9V cable, which can connect to NXT via the NXT to 9V cable. But of course, given that stack-up of kludges, there is a wire pair missing, at least (...) (16 years ago, 18-Aug-08, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I think the software used to program the WeDo is written in Labview, the same way the software used to program the NXT is written in Labview. (...) The NXT to 9V cable is for the "old" 9v system that has two wires. The new Power Function (...) (16 years ago, 17-Aug-08, to lugnet.robotics)

| | Hmmm... WeDo
Today a catalog from Lego Educaton turned up in the snail mail. As I was flipping through it I saw the "WeDo" system advertised in it. OK, so I guess people who religiously follow Lego press releases would have known about WeDo two weeks ago.... so (...) (16 years ago, 16-Aug-08, to lugnet.robotics)

| | Update to nxtgcc toolchain
I have updated the toolchain little bit: *the binsert utility reads binary file info directly from the standard firmware image (and you do not have to cut out the file sections manually) *the demo program executes, which is probably what some have (...) After the HALE experiment we turned back to the Mars rover project IV.
