  Re: Hmmm... WeDo

(...) I think the software used to program the WeDo is written in Labview, the same way the software used to program the NXT is written in Labview. (...) The NXT to 9V cable is for the "old" 9v system that has two wires. The new Power Function (...) (16 years ago, 17-Aug-08, to lugnet.robotics)

  Hmmm... WeDo

Today a catalog from Lego Educaton turned up in the snail mail. As I was flipping through it I saw the "WeDo" system advertised in it. OK, so I guess people who religiously follow Lego press releases would have known about WeDo two weeks ago.... so (...) (16 years ago, 16-Aug-08, to lugnet.robotics)

  Update to nxtgcc toolchain

I have updated the toolchain little bit: *the binsert utility reads binary file info directly from the standard firmware image (and you do not have to cut out the file sections manually) *the demo program executes, which is probably what some have (...)   Win a MINDSTORMS NXT set at Brickfair

This year at BrickFair, a grand prize of a MINDSTORMS NXT set will be awarded to one lucky person. But, instead of the grand prize simply being awarded to the winner of any event, everyone who enters any of the three MINDSTORMS events will be (...)   Cant get sensors to work properly

Hi I have a little problem. I'm using the latest Bricx command center together with my cybermaster brick. My program code looks something like this: task main () { if(SENSOR_1) SetOut(OUT_A)); } Everything comiles nicely but nothing happens when I (...) (16 years ago, 13-Aug-08, to lugnet.robotics)

  Mars rover IV

After the HALE experiment we turned back to the Mars rover project IV. Remember that we want to realize a fully autonom LEGO Mars rover running on the simulated Mars environment that already served for the previous projects. The idea is to have two (...)   Re: HALE (High Altitude LEGO Extravaganza)

(...) Not necessarily. WALL-E has not been released entirely worldwide. Much of Europe is still waiting for its release. Joe (16 years ago, 31-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Brian do you have one of these near you? (URL) just happens to be over the road from my local LEGO shop. (local being 85 Miles, needless to say I dont go there that often!) Mike. (16 years ago, 31-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: The LEGO Didn't Break (or the HALE Mission - LEGO where it was never intended to go)

(...) A couple of folks have asked me about that. Trust me, anything I can will be free for anybody who wants it, but I'll have to figure out a way to put it up. Brickshelf is really for pictures, and I push it by posting images of data graphs... (...) (16 years ago, 30-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: The LEGO Didn't Break (or the HALE Mission - LEGO where it was never intended to go)

(...) You should be proud! Excellent success. I hope ALL your data will be published. The nerd in me really wants to know what the terminal velocity of a box of Styrofoam filled with Lego is... And pictures, I'm assuming the ground recovery crew (...) (16 years ago, 30-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics)

  HALE (High Altitude LEGO Extravaganza)

The LEGO Didn't Break (or the HALE Mission - LEGO where it was never intended to go)

OK, I'm a little bit proud of this... and, mostly, amazed that it functioned at all. I was selected to participate in the HALE (High Altitude LEGO Extravaganza) after submitted two proposals in the hopes one would make it... and instead, both were (...)   Re: Asking for RIS 2.0 patch under Windows XP

I had two laptops giving me that same error: "A critical error has occurred. You may be running out of memory, or you may need to reinstall Robotics Invention System 2.0." It must have been a recent Windows update that messed them up, as these (...) (16 years ago, 26-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: NXT programming with Logo
