OK, I'm a little bit proud of this... and, mostly, amazed that it functioned at all. I was selected to participate in the HALE (High Altitude LEGO Extravaganza) after submitted two proposals in the hopes one would make it... and instead, both were (...) (16 years ago, 30-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.nxt, lugnet.technic) !

I had two laptops giving me that same error: "A critical error has occurred. You may be running out of memory, or you may need to reinstall Robotics Invention System 2.0." It must have been a recent Windows update that messed them up, as these (...) (16 years ago, 26-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Our tech had to take out the Adobe CS3 suite. Now the models show up. But CMU's Robotics Engineering does not. He reports that the old 'NXT clicking" version 1.0 was compatible with Adobe CS3. I'm teaching this week using laptops running on Vista. The laptops also have the full suite of Adobe software. Under these conditions, the models do not show up. (...) Neither. I actually purchased those from Mindsensors. They sell a thinner, flexible cable with NXT-style plugs. For the HALE mission (what this payload is aimed at - launch in 7 days or so), every gram counts, and I realized that at least in (...) (16 years ago, 23-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics)

I had this error message on a Vista system. RIS 2.0 worked fine the first time I ran it, but gave this error every subsequent time (even if I uninstalled/reinstalled it). Memory definitely wasn't an issue since the system had 4GB RAM plus swap (...) (16 years ago, 22-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics)
