  Custom firmware crashing on boot

Hey, I'm new here, so if I seem like a n00b, it's probably because I am. Hopefully my question won't be too annoying. I'm trying to use the NXTGCC 0.0.9 package as a starting point for custom firmware. The main point of my custom firmware is to swap (...)   Temporarily removing official NXT driver to use SAM-BA

Hey, I tried to post this message two days ago and it hasn't shown up yet, so I'm trying again (with a different client in case that's why it was eaten). If people receive duplicates, I sincerely apologize. Message follows: Hey, I apologize in (...) (17 years ago, 27-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: Re Rafe Donahue's GBC binary counter

(...) Hi Jordan, You are right; Rafe's counter actually does this already. The only mod would be the storage trays you mentioned. In fact, during down times at Brickworld, I often mention that the machine is really an adding maching and all we are (...) (17 years ago, 25-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

Re Rafe Donahue's GBC binary counter

I saw this and was reminded of Rafe's binary counter: (URL) a marble-powered binary adder. Rafe's counter could do this with a tiny bit of modification. He'd just have to add a tray at the top and bottom to temporarily store the input and output for (...) (17 years ago, 25-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

  Re: LEGO Engineer Software

Some explenations regarding the Lego Engineer Version I suggested before: The version is Lego Engineer 2.0 and it will work only on top of Robolab 2.0, so if you have a newer version of Robolab - 2.5.4 specifically, You should download the newest (...)   Re: lcd display on RCX 1.0

(...) If you load RCX2 firmware in a RCX1 brick (they are fully compatible*), you'll have acces to this function (and all other RCX2 specific possibilities) Philo *Except for some minor differences in IR hardware. (17 years ago, 25-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  lcd display on RCX 1.0

NQC: with RCX2, it has a function to display a user defined value. Is there a way to do it with RCX 1.0? How about just to display the current mail value with RCX1.0? Suggestion? Thanks in advance. --Elizabeth (17 years ago, 24-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Clicking NXT

That did the trick Dick. Thanks (17 years ago, 23-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: Clicking NXT

May be obvious, but are the batteries fully charged? You get unpredictable effects with marginal battery voltage and attempting to write to flash memory. -----Original Message----- From: news-gateway@lugnet.com [mailto:news-gateway...ugnet.com] On (...)   Re: Clicking NXT

(...) I'm pretty sure I updated the driver, but just to make sure I did it again. I still have a maddeningly fast clicking NXT. I can hear it now, buried beneath the floor boards. click Click CLICK. Why do you pretend not to hear it? CLICK! CLICK!! (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Clicking NXT

(...) Hello Dean, Did you update your USB driver to "MINDSTORMS NXT Driver v1.02" available here: (URL) ? Philo (17 years ago, 23-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Clicking NXT

I've got the dreaded nxt clicking syndrome on my beta NXT. I had lent it out to one of my FLL team members and she said it just started ticking one day. I'm pretty sure she wasn't trying to download firmware. The last version of firmware I had on (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: LEGO Engineer Software

You may find the program in (URL) the file pcinstall2 to the c:\ folder (not to any subfolder) and start the installation by double clicking on it. You need Robolab to be installed on your computer' and activated at least once before you start the (...) (17 years ago, 21-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Brickworld 2007 - Indy 5.00

  Re: Brickworld 2007 - Indy 5.00

(...) First, it's not a straight gradient. We wanted to make it with about three inches of black in the middle & the same in white on the outside. That gives the maximum range in the area where the robots will race. So, here are the numbers (nxt (...) (17 years ago, 20-Jun-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Brickworld 2007 - Indy 5.00

(...) Gus, 1) Steve has the track...just got it a few days ago...I doubt he gets a chance to make any accurate/repeatable readings in the time available. 2) The track will be available to roll out on the floor (or wherever) all weekend long. Since (...) (17 years ago, 20-Jun-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Brickworld 2007 - Indy 5.00

(...) Thank you Steve, Brian, and Bryan for the clarification on the track size. One more question: Would it be possible for whoever currently has the track to post some approximate NXT light sensor readings for the various positions across the (...)   Re: Power Function Motors

(...) I have now seen a picture of the box on brickshelf which clearly shows the sound module. (URL) direct control, but there is indirect control through the motor operation then. Thanks again! linmix (17 years ago, 19-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Power Function Motors

(...) Thanks too ;o) (...) I confirm that the sound module has its own battery and a sound trigger push button. As the jaw motor turns a cam pushes the button and starts the roar... No direct relation with remote control :( Philo (17 years ago, 19-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)
