Data preference:  NXT Raw sensor readings with sensor 1 LEGO unit from the
surface at approximate track positions 0", 6", 12", 18", and 24" (but
adjusted
for actual track width)

First, it's not a straight gradient.  We wanted to make it with about three
inches of black in the middle & the same in white on the outside.  That
gives the maximum range in the area where the robots will race.

So, here are the numbers (nxt sensor @ ~ 1.5 studs)

<4" = 26
4" = 27
6" = 33
9" = 44
12" = 50
18" = 54
21"+ = 58

Anything else?
Steve
