Re: Robo Quad - Stage Nine

(...) --snip--- (...) So it's done? Personally I'd like to see some more slopes to give it some of those sexy curves you can get with the rounded newer slope parts. I'm still sturggling with the feet looking hacked off like someone's wearing some (...) (17 years ago, 6-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Control Lab Interface response time

I finally got my CLI and did some simple testing today. I realize the CLI isn't going to be quite as fast responding as the RCX what with sending the information back to the PC etc etc, but I was quite appalled by the lag between an input and the (...) (17 years ago, 4-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Control Lab - serial/USB

(...) I finally found a USB to serial converter (several shops either told me they didn't have it or that it didn't exist) but even though the packaging claims it will work with e.g. modems (so its bidirectional) RoboLab won't run with the CLI I (...) (17 years ago, 3-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Reading Datalog

The only VI I was able to find is at: (URL) is the purpose of the "UploadDatalog(nStart,nEnd)" function? Is there a way for Robolab to passively receive datalogs? The example I found seems to use the RCX in direct mode, but I am not sure as I do not (...) (17 years ago, 3-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: Reading Datalog

RobotC RCX firmware is compatible with Robolab and the vast majority of the Ghost API messages. You can get this firmware by installing an evaluation copy of RobotC. If you are using Robolab, then there are a large variety of VIs available for (...) (17 years ago, 2-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Reading Datalog

I am trying to get the Datalog from my RCX to be displayed on my computer. I am using RobotC to upload the datalog using the "UploadDatalog(nStart,nEnd)" function. It is sending the Datalog because I can see the green LED on the IR tower light up. I (...) (17 years ago, 2-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Ultimate ROBOLAB for PICs

(...) If you do support PIC18F8520, then with some changes to the loader one may be able to program VEX controller with Ultimate_PICLAB.which would be great! Guy Ziv (18 years ago, 31-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) ...snip (...) Perhaps I'll answer with a short list of projects that we have realized so far: 1.The most complicated thing I've done with Ultimate_PIC -I have to familiarize with that name now- using the 16F628A is a bi-directional half-duplex (...)   Re: events /nxt vs. events/rcx

(...) Sigh... "good luck"? I don't mean to sound too negative, but this is a hard nut to crack under the standard FW I think... at least I've yet to figure out a way to do it to my satisfaction. In fact, more than almost any other single point, this (...) (18 years ago, 31-May-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  events /nxt vs. events/rcx

Hi, I tried to write some code to simulate the events like in RCX. It starts to look cluttered. I understand that NXT VM does not support events like you find in the RCX. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated! Elizabeth (18 years ago, 31-May-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: Ultimate ROBOLAB for PICs

(...) The PICkit comes with a little PC board with a 16F690 on it. I don't know how that compares to the 16F88, but it does have a synchronous serial port. (18 years ago, 31-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  documentation on bt / nxc

  Re: Ultimate ROBOLAB for PICs

(...) We actually worked a lot with the 16F88, which is a really great chip, something like a combination of the 16F628 and 16F819. But we didn't play with the I2C module on it yet. So that must obviously be our next challenge. (18 years ago, 31-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  name your nxt

Hi, SetBrickDataName(str) seems to be able to only change the name of the nxt temporarily. Once the nxt is started, it loses the name assigned thru the SetBrickDataName earlier. Idea? --Elizabeth (18 years ago, 31-May-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)
