Re: I'm passing the NQC torch...

(...) Thank you so much Dave. Just to let you know that I decided to enter the MINDSTORM world because of your NQC. In Japanese we say "Gokurosama deshita !". Best regards, Liem PH (22 years ago, 11-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: I'm passing the NQC torch...

I guess it's time to say "Thank you!". You did really much. You spent tremendous effort in developing NQC and I think everybody appreciates it. We owe you a lot. Thank you once again Robert (22 years ago, 11-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  I'm passing the NQC torch...

NQC version 2.5r3 has been released: (URL) is my last release of NQC. John Hansen will be maintaining NQC in the future. John has done some great work with BricxCC, and has plenty of energy and good ideas for improvements to NQC. He is primarily a (...) (22 years ago, 11-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc) !!

  Re: Simplifying Cygwin & brickOS/leJOS

(...) Suggestion, dont use Cygwin at all. Provide a pre-compiled version of: 1.GCC built for host=MingW (ligtweight toolchain for win32 systems that doesnt need bulky cygwin dlls) and target=rcx or whatever. 2.the BrickOS tools buit using MingW and (...)   Re: Homebrew sensors (where to find them)

(...) Here are two links that can be found right on the sidebar of the lugnet.robotics page. Michael Gasperi has done a lot of work in this area: (URL) Stormont also has a page with some very useful information: (URL) are other sites around, but (...) (22 years ago, 11-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Homebrew sensors (where to find them)

Hi, i am looking for any homebrew sensor links on the Web. Any info would be helpful. -Nick (22 years ago, 11-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Proximity Sensors for Legway

Hi Henrik Thanks for the pointers.... I've got it working a lot better than in the video now but have a way to go to get as good as Steve's. I'll try and get the video's updated in the next couple of days. I'm keen to hear what you and Steve make (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: 4095 Record and Play

(...) I couldn't agree more. I was ecstatic when I saw this at the local TRU, so I bought one. Probably bought the FIRST one. The "programmable" brick did NOTHING like I had recorded it to do - time after time. Went too fast, didn't rotate to the (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: More Speed? Re: Mindstorms 3.0 Wish List

(...) OK, that's definitely a good reason to keep things simple. I'm far from convinced that _any_ sensor suite (advanced or not) will completely fix the drift problem, but if the sensors themselves return absolute coordinates (or even absolute (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Spybot studies: seek a world object

(...) Or, then again, you might not. As with the vast majority of the ROM subroutines (and all the _Bead subroutines) this subroutine fiddles around with a global variable (via calls to EnterBead and ExitBead). In this case it happens to be global (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  4095 Record and Play

I had to buy this set just to see. Total disappointment :( Nice idea, dreadful implementation. The motor/battery box clearly tries to record the rotation of each of two wheels in "record" mode, and I think it actually manages to do that part ok. The (...)   Re: Spybot studies: seek a world object

(...) Cool program. Keep up the great work! (...) You might be able to use PointToward_Bead without running into problems. __nolist void PointToward_Bead(const int& nTimes) { asm { 0xe3, &nTimes, 0x17, 81, 0x01, 1 }; } This ROM routine monitors an (...)   Spybot studies: seek a world object

/* beacon.nqc Uses World Relation Table to get a fix on and drive to another object. The object can be a Spybot, PC, or Spybot Controller. The program fixes on (i.e. drives to) the first object it finds. If that object disappears from the "radar", (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  Re: Proximity Sensors for Legway
