  Re: Mechanical pneumatic piston

(...) I once built one of these, just to see how it worked. It's pretty ingenious. I kept adding worm gears to see how big I could make it. Once you add more than two, there's a big gap in between the gears and the end of the housing you build for (...) (22 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: I Need Some Advice!

(...) You'll probably love them. There are a couple of pre-made games that use 1 player and 2 bots. You can use NQC to give the bots custom behaviour. The software that comes with the Spybots is decent, but really aimed at kids. You can also buy my (...) (22 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  I Need Some Advice!

Hi All, I recently purchased two of the spybotic sets at a cheap price (10 bucks)! What I am wondering is whether I would enjoy keeping a set (or two) for myself or whether to just sell them. I don't want to bust open the boxes only to find out that (...) (22 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  leJOS auto power-off

How does one disable the auto power-off feature in leJOS? I've scanned the API and can't find it. Thanks. -Brian (22 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

  Mechanical pneumatic piston

Hello, A while ago I had a website bookmarked that showed how to build a mechanical piston replacement, mainly utilizing worm gears and half bushings as I recall. Naturally I've lost the bookmark now, so could some kind soul point me in the right (...) (22 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

  Linked Lists in BrickOS

Thanks to all that assisted me in getting set up. It turned out to be missing Cygwin packages. My bad. Two problems. Firstly, BrixCC needs to be restarted to compile 'new' code. Is there a way to correct this problem? Also, I'm having trouble (...) (22 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: How to make a barecode?

  Re: replacement for IR-communication

We have done this. That is retro-fitted an RCX with a bluetooth module. It involves hardware hacking the RCX, which will "void the warranty". Don't do it unless you can afford to completely break your RCX, and can afford a spare! Can I ask, are you (...) (22 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Seattle Road Show (whoops- a week late...)

The Road Show came to Seattle on the last weekend of September, running from the 26th to the 28th. PNLTC, SeaLUG, and SMART all shared the small space with a 3-layer layout in 4 sections.   Re: serial speed of RCX

(...) Hi Tom, The highest baud rate you can generate appears to be 500Kb given the 16MHz CPU clock. There's a formula for calulating baud rate after Table 11-3 (page 205) in my version of the hardware manual. HTH, Mark (22 years ago, 6-Oct-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  serial speed of RCX
