the microcontroller has a buildt-in baud rate generator
and that any specified baudrate can be generated.
But my question is, what is the maximum baudrate
you can generate ?

Hi Tom,

The highest baud rate you can generate appears to be 500Kb given the 16MHz CPU
clock.  There's a formula for calulating baud rate after Table 11-3 (page 205)
in my version of the hardware manual.
