We had a roadshow in town and they ran some "battle" with the 4 different spybots at the same time. I think they covered one of the (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  Re: RCX Voltage Question

Both motors will receive approximately 9 volts. This depends on the batteries you are using. -- Bob Fay (URL) <sailrpengn@suscom.net> wrote in message news:H81u10.AzE@lugnet.com... (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX remote and Spybotics

Happy New Year! (again) "Mark Ferris" <markdf2001@yahoo.com> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:dpg41vcgltkjmnk...4ax.com... (...) A lot of infrared "in the air" certainly conflicts, because there are no IR-channels. A pair LED and transistor work in a (...)   RCX Voltage Question

If you connect two motors to the same output port, will they each get 4.5 volts, or will it take current from the other outputs? (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  RCX remote and Spybotics

Will the RCX remote control conflict with the IR signals from the Spybotics controller? I don't have a remote control, but I'd like to get one for my RCX so I can build my own style bot to compete with my kids, but I want to make sure my remote will (...)   Controller channels

Is it possible to have 4 independent Spybots at one time? The literature I've read talks about channels 1-3 on the remote and Lego's own FAQ only gives instructions for setting channels 1-3. This is probably my answer, but I'm looking for solutions (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

Re: Air transportation of RCXs etc

My laptop goes through these things all the time. I wouldn't expect the Xray machine to harm anything in your RCX at all. Especially if it is off. As to whether it looks like it's a bomb, on Xray it'll probably look more like a Walkman. I wouldn't (...) (23 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Air transportation of RCXs etc

JB I travel extensively around the US and have carried RCXs and models onboard airplanes for some time. My suggestion would be to carry it on and avoid checking it in and the new scanners. Putting aside the extra time it will take you, you will have (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Air transportation of RCXs etc

My views on the subject: If you are taking a pre-made MOC, take the whole thing in hand luggage if possible (or mabie just the module with the RCX in it). Show it to the security person specially (just as you might do if you were worried about the (...) (23 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)
