  Re: Float and int

(...) You should look in the gnu gcc compiler documentation for this. Float support is not OS but compiler specific. As I recall, gcc uses IEEE float format, the specification should be found somewhere in the net. But doing float with the brick is (...) (23 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: Jamocklaquat - The waters are still - a brief pause and analysis -

(...) It'd be nice if it had some AI. Perhaps a camera in the head, hooked up to a computer, sending messages to the RCXs? If you wanted it more advanced, you could have multiple cameras, plus microphones, a speaker, and maybe more sensors (...)   Re: Float and int

(...) int is 16 bits, big endian, signed. It goes from -32768 to 32767. unsigned int goes from 0 to 65535. char is 8, long is 32, long long is 64, with the standard limits. Floats and doubles are emulated in software, as the H8/300 processor has no (...) (23 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Float and int

Does anyone know what the maximum and minimum size of integer which can be stored is? Likewise, what is the floating point accuracy of BrickOS for variables of type "float" and "double" (is there such thing in BrickOS?) ? Both of these questions (...) Thanks TJ and Thanks for Spotlighting the Technic Beast in the Cool MOCs section too, that really made me happy. I have just figured out a few deatils of its construction. We may see it completed sooner than I thought. I would love to bring it to (...) (23 years ago, 29-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  NQC for BeOS

Hi, I've uploaded my port of NQC 2.4.r3 to the BeOS. You can find it here: (URL) looking for help with the USB driver, anyone can help? Regards Gabriele Biffi (23 years ago, 29-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

That's quite a 'bot, and a serious building endeavor (plus a huge investment :-) I'm not really a mecha fan, but Jama is awesome just from a Technic/ (...) (...) The trusty Bathroom scale says 20 pounds. Thats without RCX. Wow, it seems like it would weigh more. Then again it's just the skeloton with very little exterior detail. Fully complete and 10 RCX laiden with batteries, we could be talking an (...) (23 years ago, 29-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Jamocklaquat - The waters are still - a brief pause and analysis -

I have been getting some questions and I realized an update is in order. At this point in time construction on Jama has been halted. I intend to use the money and effort to goto Bricks West 2003 in California rather than spend it on Jama. So at this (...)   Transmitting time USB vs serial

Hello, I use lejos 2.1.0 and legousbtower 0.52 from the lejos distribution.   Re: Packaging!

Yes, to my amazement, both the Manas and Spybotics were packaged in this manner (in the U.S. at least). I can't fathom what on Earth they were thinking when they came up with this packaging scheme. Wow, some test! I'm x-posting this to the robotics group just in case. Maggie C. (The following is all quoted from Wendy's post but I had to "unquote" it so the server would accept it.)   Re: compass sensor

Hi Steve, thanks for your reply. Yes I know about the hightechnicstuff sensor. I am just a little worried about the 5° tolerance since I want to use it for navigation.   Packaging!

Merry Xmas! We just unpacked a spybotic and some other LEGO. I am really upset about the way LEGO is packaging new stuff. We have a box here, with loose content, just filling 1/3 of the box.
