Re: Wall wart for RCX 1.0

Any 12V supply will do. It should be capable of at least 600mA. The Lego train transformers work well if you have one. Otherwise, any 12V transformer of any polarity will do (or even AC as the Lego train transformer supplies). Matthias Jetleb (23 years ago, 2-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Wall wart for RCX 1.0

I have a RCX 1.0. And while it has a power plug, I don't have a wall wart. Is there a specific part I need from Lego, or will a "generic" wall wart do? And if so, what are the parameters (voltage, current) I need to look for? Thanks! (23 years ago, 2-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

TOWERAPI.DLL: Where is TOWERAPI.LIB file in SDK 2.0?

I'm trying to use "TOWERAPI.DLL" to directly setup the USB tower drivers in a Windows C++ program using Microsoft's Visual Studio. Lego's documentation refers to linking with "TOWERAPI.LIB" but this file is not in the SDK 2.0 release. In an earlier (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: versions of gcc/binutils/newlib

(...) GCC 2.95 versions and binutils 2.95 thru 2.10 appear to work. I believe readers, here, have also successfully used gcc 3.0 and 3.1 but not 3.2.   versions of gcc/binutils/newlib

Hallo, Which versions of gcc/binutils and newlib is brickos developed with? As I read in here and tested myself, it doesn't work with the most recent versions (gcc 3.2, binutils 2.13 and newlib 1.10). Do I need a newlib? The howto doesn't mention (...)
