  Re: BricxCC release 3.3.3.7

Cross-posting to lugnet.robotics in case anyone missed it. I've just uploaded a new release of BricxCC. Version 3.3.3.7 completes the implementation of the configurable Tools feature. Transfer item parameter macros are now functional. The major (...) (23 years ago, 8-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: BrickHeap Wars!

(...) We did something like this at my son's birthday party...but with 11yr olds and on a MUCH smaller scale! (We even called it "BrickYard Wars") * We gave each kid one Mindstorms motor, one wire and a 9v battery pack with brand new Duracells in (...) (23 years ago, 9-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: BrickHeap Wars!

(...) David and I are going to work on developing and fleshing out the BrickHeap Wars format during and after BricksWest. We're really going to learn-by-doing, and see what sorts of things work best (and don't). I imagine that we'll end up putting (...)   Re: Any Robot builders on Long Island?( Eastern L.I.)

(...) I have links to all known robotics clubs on my web site at www.allaboutbots.com. I don't know of any in NY yet, but I did get an email today for a new one in Virginia. For a list of clubs, click on NEWS on my web site. If you know of others, (...) (23 years ago, 8-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Web Interface

Hi Shibu, WebBrick 2.4 is a program that lets you connect your Lego Mindstorm's robot to a web-page user interface. When anyone on the internet connects to your web page, they can press buttons on the page that activate your robot. There are 6 (...) (23 years ago, 7-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Sensor Connector

The LEGO shaft encoder and light sensor are active sensors that need a special circuit. The Expansion Board for the HB provides this ckt and the requisite drivers. Your simplest path to using these with the HB is to get an Exp Bd. Barring that, you (...) (23 years ago, 7-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Simple Sensor interface, was Re: Question?

Thanks for adding that information. I had intended the schematic more as an exmaple than something that someone would run out and try to make. The parts are all surface mount parts, since I have been building and supplying this circuit enclosed in a (...) (23 years ago, 7-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: multiplexor and legOS

Still no luck in getting the mux working properly. I tried making use of the code for turning sensors on and off but later realized that the ds_handler code would still be turning the sensor off as part of its normal operation. I think I'm going to (...) (23 years ago, 7-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Question?

I've put a simple sensor interface design on Brickshelf which shows the key elements of providing a linear bi-polar connection to the RCX sensor input. (The two wire RCX connections are represented by the large circles to the right of the (...) (23 years ago, 7-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi Peter, (...) it works for me. (URL) shows another schematics that doesn't show the real rotation sensor circuit, but has the same interface to the RCX. (...) Yes, that's the case. (...) That's what the rectifier bridges are for. (...) With the (...) (23 years ago, 7-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)
