Re: Compiling .icb files /Farnsworth files

Fred, I've enclosed the section of the README that applies to my question: To build pcode for other robot boards, follow the instructions below. Copy the 'build_rw.bat' file to another, and replace the GCC command -D variables to the following for (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: broken motor, how to take apart?

This thread encouraged me to investigate a couple of jammed motors that came with "new" kits I purchased on e-Bay. None of the suggestions for unjamming a motor worked. I then decided to take one of the motors apart (this destroys the motor and is (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Using Vision Command as a Smart Sensor

Thanks for this thread it really came in usfull today! I used Dean Husby suggestion for linking to all 4 program areas and it was very easy and cool! I had one issue that I thought I'd share. Maybe this can be added to the web page (see URL below). (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.vc)

  Re: usb tower not responding

Have you tried deleting the usb device? Make sure you have installed the RCX2.0 when it is rediscovered. Or can you talk to the Lego technical support? (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Lego Rotation Sensor Internals - and fix

(...) Have you tested it at high rotating speeds to see if there is any adverse effects caused by the additional parallel capacitance? (just curious) Some great work there. I am currently in the same milieu with a rotation sensor that is (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Lego Rotation Sensor Internals - and fix

It would be nice if Lego fixed it, as taking apart the sensors is something I would not want to do twice. :( (...) (URL) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  usb tower not responding

My usb is not responding to my computer because I plugged in the usb tower before i installed the robotics invention system 2.0. I have already tried uninstalling the software and restarting it by following the instructions. I have windows 98 (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  BricxCC release 3.3.3.4

I've just released a new version of BricxCC. Version 3.3.3.4 implements the following changes: 1. Watching the brick only while the Watch window is active is now an option on the Watch window. 2. It fixes a bug in TFakeSpirit.SetSensorMode which (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: Lego Rotation Sensor Internals - and fix

(...) It would be nice if the next production run was corrected, that would not even impact device price. But cycle time for this kind of product, with stocks at various distribution levels, is probably quite high... Philo (24 years ago, 22-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Probably burned serial interface -- need help

Hi all, yesterday I mistakenly plugged the 110V/9V AC adapter that feeds the Charger/serial interface into a 220V power supply (I live in NZ but used to live in the US and have a weird mix of appliances, converters, and transformers). After a few (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Cybermaster or equivalent

I'm working on an RF solution for the RCX. It's been dubbed "WIRRL" for Wireless Infra-Red Repeater Link". My intent is to add RF communication to the RCX without physically modifying it or the IR Tower. Also, I wanted a solution that would be (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: More RCX's controled by one tower ?

You cannot program them independantly, but you can make sure your programs respond to different IR messages during normal operation. All RCX's will receive the messages, but as long as only one responds with some action then independant control is (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics)

  Compiling .icb files /Farnsworth files

Howdy Fred, Yes, I did download the zip file from the HB site. As11_ic.bat is present. One question I have is with regards to the various references to Rev 2.1, Rev 2.2, et cetera, in the README file. How do these references relate to my V1.21 HB (...)   Re: Cybermaster or equivalent

(...) cybermaster is still out there. www.dya-shopping.com has them for ~$100. That was the good news. The bad news is: 1. DYA has the french version. You will have to ask lego for an english CD. 2. cybermaster is no where near as good as RCX. That (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)
