(...) Yes - any Lego set will work with Mindstorms - but some are *much* better than others. The 'Bionicles' for example are just junk...almost useless. On the other hand, the StarWars sets are pretty good for robot parts. Truly the best deal is (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) This sounds complicated. I'm not sure if I'd want to go hacking into the RCX, but if you have an idea and a good idea of how to make it work, more power to you. I'd just like to point out before you get started that the infrared communication (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Another doubt: When I'm programming with NQC, is there a way to run the program (simulate its behavior actualy) without the RCX (because I don't have it yet)? Thanks, -- Paula Berger E-mail: pberger@terra.com.br paula@inf.pucrs.br ICQ#: 71133278 (24 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Well..I did kinda, Some foreground information is needed before I can explain that. The lego touch sensors arent simple toggle throw type switches, they have a precision, where the touch sensor can have values ranging ( for example ) 0 to 100, where (...) I've just recently been introduced to another world known as Lego Robotics. And i have some quesitons about it. Where have people found the best places to pick up accessories for it? some suggestions: 1) random_delay = random()/1000000; LegOS uses 16 bit integers, meaning the largest value an integer can have is something like 65535. The above statement is meaningless 2) (...) Thanks Mike, I'll be sure to try the adder-subtractor, as well as your new device. I completed the prototype of the differential drive with a transmission-lockable axle over the weekend. Actually, I can't claim credit for it, I got the idea from (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

hi Brian, nice robots and good pictures ! I just studied them roughly, but did I conclude it right that you made a rotation sensor with the normal lego switch ? If so, great (because finally we've a destination for that terrible sensor), does it (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)
