Hi, I finally succeeded in driving up to 7 R/C servos from the RCX using a shift register and a re-triggerable monostable (for synchronization) all driven from the FTOA output line (senor B, AC coupled into a transistor) . (...) Yeah, that $900 is for a 25-pack -- the lowest volume they apparently deal with for on-line orders -- so that's $36 US each. Not too bad. Fred and Dan, For some reason, I'm apparently having trouble explaining my findings, doing something wrong -- or not understanding what Fred is telling me. Howdy I just upgraded to RIS 2.0 on a Windows 2000 machine (used to have RIS 1.0 on a 486!). Upon booting up the machine, the RIS 2.0 software automatically comes up. I wish to disable this. Hmm... And how about the 'internet' camera? Will that one work with win2000/xp? Then I could just run a webcam-application to upload the image to the local ftp server, and Robolab could get that image from the local web server. But alas, when I try (...)
