  RE: walker that turns?

I have several walkers that turn at: (URL) of the walkers turn like a treaded tank, but one uses a middle leg to "rotate" when it is time to turn. Have fun building your walker.... Rich Thompson (URL) Message----- From: news-gateway@lugnet.com (...) (26 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: 1.0 to 1.5 upgrade

FWIW The LEGO shop, Bluewater, UK on Saturday had the following: RIS 1.0 RIS 1.5 DDK RDS The RDS box said it would allow connection to a PC with a future expansion kit, as we already know.   How can I connect 100 photocells to my handyboard?

Hi, For a project I'm working on, I need to track the output of one hundred (100) photocells. I don't need great accuracy on any of them, but maybe a ten-step resolution at the most. Is there a relatively standard or well-known method to gather (...) (26 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Idea: Automatic garage

Have you ever heard of automatic garages? Well, you drive your car onto a platform. Then, the platform starts moving around in the garage and when the computer on it finds a free parking lot, it´ll leave the car there. So, this is my idea: You drive (...)   Re: fast firmware downloader

(...) I agree with your reasoning. The compiler I have decided to use (Watcom C/C++ v.11 from Powersoft) will compile from the platform I am developing on (NT 4) to the desired executing platform (DOS) and will use long file names just fine.   RE: fast firmware downloader

(...) Great! I was using Borland C++ 3.0 because I happened to have the diskettes around. Remember when a C++ compiler fit on 5 (five) 3.5 diskettes? I have no problem with keeping the existing filename structure. It's readable, it serves the (...) (26 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Time available during 1 kHz system interrupt?

  Re: walker that turns?

(...) Well, this might not be very feasible, but how about a joint in the middle that bends left or right? Hence, the body is normally straight, and then bends to the left or right when turning?
