  Re: One last BrickShelf suggestion...

(...) I think I'd have to agree. I really do wonder how to host pictures. I tried on my personal web site, but it just isn't practical. One time I posted someone else's pictures, but had to take them down after a few days because my personal web (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

  Re: One last BrickShelf suggestion...

(...) Well, I for one would abandon BS if this happened, unless links from LUGNET pages were allowed (and I'd probably remove my LUGNET pages too, as they'd be even more boring without the BS pics). ROSCO (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

  One last BrickShelf suggestion...

As I've seen no substantial effort by the BrickShelf administrator to interact with the community (which is VERY eager to help) in finding a solution to BrickShelf's bandwidth problem, I will offer one final suggestion. Not having statistics in (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

I am pleased to announce the release of a brand new website. For those of you who are fans of The Chronicles of Ikros, this website will contain the sequel to that story.   Re: Questions Regarding Brickshelf

(...) Ooh, that would have been nice. I'm in the midst of reorganizing my gallery and I had to delete most of my gallery folders and am going through the process of re-uploading. Bruce (22 years ago, 6-Dec-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Re: New Train Truck (bogie) Design

(...) So then I shouldn't have waited to photograph on a sunny day?...;-) Thanks for the advice, Bill. -John (22 years ago, 5-Dec-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: New Train Truck (bogie) Design

(...) Black is easy to photograph. What's hard to photograph is high contrast. Putting something black on a white background is high contrast. Try photographing it against a dark background. The camera should adjust the contrast and it will turn out (...) (22 years ago, 5-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.publish)

  Questions Regarding Brickshelf

Hi Kevin, For awhile there were a number of new features being implemented fastly and furiously on Brickshelf, but no word of any new ones for awhile yet ... there are two items in particular that I've been holding out for: (1) Is there going to be (...)   Re: MOC: Dutch Otherdam downtown and Suburbian home 'Wybert'

(...) Use Mozilla. It's much, much better than Netscape 4.x. Or if you want to stick with the Netscape brand, upgrade to Netscape 7 - it's pretty much the same thing as Mozilla. The e-mail/news functionality in Mozilla is very similar to Netscape (...) (22 years ago, 4-Dec-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: MOC: Dutch Otherdam downtown and Suburbian home 'Wybert'

(...) Um, that's just what javascript is - client-side script. A script that runs on the client, i.e. browser. I think you mean to say server-side scripting (e.g. CGI). Not that there's anything wrong with Javascript. One thing you might consider is (...) (22 years ago, 4-Dec-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: MOC: Dutch Otherdam downtown and Suburbian home 'Wybert'

(...) I hate JS with Netscape. Netscape goes on vacation for a minute or so while it starts JS. And it does this for each page. Meanwhile, you look for something else to do because you can't even go read Lugnet or something in another window, (...) (22 years ago, 27-Nov-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: MOC: Dutch Otherdam downtown and Suburbian home 'Wybert'

(...) Consider using a popup stopper... works wonders. (...) I use it on my color selector and I'd really have a hard time doing one without it, I think. (turn JS on for a sec, then try it) (URL) try the non JS version.. not veru useful) In general (...) (22 years ago, 27-Nov-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: MOC: Dutch Otherdam downtown and Suburbian home 'Wybert'

(...) Fair enough. I solve similar problems with non-runtime scripts that generate HTML. For example, the photos pages on my church site are all identical except for the picture link, caption text and prev/next links, and that'd be a pain to do (...) (22 years ago, 27-Nov-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: MOC: Dutch Otherdam downtown and Suburbian home 'Wybert'

(...) To some extend, I understand your concern. Please understand mine. I use javascript because I can't use client-side scripting at my hosting service. To keep my website manageable I need to use generic functions. E.g. my picture tours with (...) (22 years ago, 27-Nov-02, to lugnet.publish)
