  Vikings?

These were posted at EuroBricks, (URL) but someone put the pics on BrickShelf (thanks!)... (URL) set to castle although arguably vikings predate most castle stuff. There is some discussion at eb already about where these fit and why LEGO decided to (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.year.2005, lugnet.castle, lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates)

  RE: More EOE Ships

(...) functional for pirate warfare gaming, but they're also pretty historically accurate in design features, too. Great job!. (20 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.pirates)

  More EOE Ships

Greetings all! Over the I built a new ship, and improved on two more. The new ship is the aviseo, a small messenger ship made from the small pirate ship in the 4 Juniors line. The other two ships of note here are the brig and the xebec. I finally (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jan-05, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Vikings!!!

It's already being discussed on Classic-Castle, but essentially it all still revolves around this one blurry photo. It will be great if true - the Fury of the Northmen descends on us at last from their homeland. Looks like movie vikings (horned (...)   Re: Lego clone from China?

(...) Should be a little clue to Lego TO MAKE MORE REAL PIRATE STUFF!!!! Seriously, you put out one Legend, it sells out like wildfire. Three weeks later it is being scalped on Ebay for twice the price. Other companies can start up and make (...) (20 years ago, 2-Dec-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates)

  USS Constellation

Here's my entry for Week 2 of the (URL) LEGO Factory> contest: (URL) Page>> (URL) LUGNET Page> The (URL) USS Constellation> is a historic ship docked in Baltimore's Inner Harbor - if you've never been to Charm City, you might recognize it from set (...)   Re: Medieval Merchant Ship

(...) That is ok, my 2 Medieval Cogs have the military on them and patrol the coast to provide protection. (URL) ship Ted, really good work. There are too few ships in this theme. -- Don (20 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Medieval Merchant Ship

(...) Indeed. Why not put an Imperial Soldier crew on it? Those scurvy pirates are nothing but trouble, and goodness knows they don't take care of the ships like we military do! (20 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Medieval Merchant Ship

In regards to: (URL) (Hah! I got the formatted text right this time!) (...) Thanks for the nice comments! It is odd how the way you conceive a thing can have such cascade effect on the model. The first image in my head was the barrels being loaded (...) (20 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: Medieval Merchant Ship

(...) Nice work! I like the railings and the small ladder to the quarter deck particularly, and fully decked vessels are always pleasing. For a medieval vessel, the main mast looks too far aft, and the (horizontal) bow sprit seems out of period. As (...) (20 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Medieval Merchant Ship

(URL) I made this for the CCContest at (URL) but I thought I would share it here. Add cannon and arm the crew and it becomes a small coastal raider. :) (20 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  What might this portend?

I don't know anything at all about the "One Piece" animated series, other than the fact that two of the characters are apparently named Luffy and Shanks. However, while perusing the Japanese MegaBloks site, I came upon (URL) this set.> Leaving aside (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: 4+ Pirate Sets in North America!

(...) I almost never give anything hit points. I give it a save (for example, a very tough to kill creature rolls 1d6 when hit, if it rolls anything but a 1 it survives). Frank (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: 4+ Pirate Sets in North America!

(...) snip.. (...) How about a pirate ship manned by the 4+ Crew as Giants. Try this in a ESPG battle... Would they need more hits to die... ? -- Don (20 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: 4+ Pirate Sets in North America!

(...) I don't see why not, Richard. I'm almost certain that they're a standard Lego product line, released to retail. I've often found that the price difference isn't that much, though - and Lego.com often has sales that the stores may or may not (...) (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: 4+ Pirate Sets in North America!

(...) Sorry for the confusion - I was referring to all of the sets as a whole, not just the big ship. It's difficult to see what a kit is actually like with the smallish pictures Lego has on their site. Having actually built one, Sean, you can see (...) (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: 4+ Pirate Sets in North America!

(...) SNIP (...) Well having put together the big ship in preparation for a round of Evil Stevie's Pirate game at Northwest BrickCon (shameless plug) I can say that yes, when it comes to versatility, there's a little left to be desired. However, (...) (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Set 7075 JacStone Pirate Ship

(...) Just noticed, that there are two versions of set 7075; I bought a second set, labeled "limited edition" (same price), which included motor AND battery; when mounted, this acts as counter-weight and makes the ship float reasonably. Arne, (...) (20 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.year.2004)
