How many studs in an inch? How many posts in a thread?

(...) You spelled inaccurate wrong. :-) Besides, why do you care about this, one way or the other? You don't even play the game much, do you? After all, it doesn't use purple Bionicle pieces much. Frank has put a lot of time and energy into (...) (20 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Pirate Game questions

(...) Nope. No real hard and fast rules. In a campaign game, I occaisionally (like less than once per game) sail a ship out that perhaps doesn't have a full complement of cannon, and has a light crew. (...) No, but I do require players put all their (...) (20 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: LEGO Rulers 4 Pirate Game

(...) It depends partly on your reason for doing so. Using a smaller unit would allow you to play a "larger" game field in a small, confined space. A 4-stud unit is to a 4' playing space as a 3-stud unit is to a 3' playing space. Well, other than (...) (20 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: LEGO Rulers 4 Pirate Game

(...) They're a lot more common than almost any other shape of brick, and they're logically a little easier to build rulers with, but if the rules stipulate that units are measured in inches, and don't also stipulate that 1"=4 studs, it seems a bit (...)   Pirate Game questions

Here are a few question I still have about the pirate game. 1.) I've noted no real hard rules for merchant ships in the rules. 2.) Do ship models really have to be able to hold the cargo they carry? 3.) Does anyone have a picture of mast island? I (...) (20 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: LEGO Rulers 4 Pirate Game

(...) Yes. I've found that having 2 basic sizes will serve you well - a relatively long range (say about 20 inches or so) per player or (less preferable) pair of players, made of 2x4s, with 4-5 layers of bricks/plates so that it's pretty sturdy. Use (...) (20 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates)

(...) Ah, so I better get to building some rulers. =) Do you build rulers for various ranges? ~Clangador (20 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: LEGO Rulers 4 Pirate Game

(...) I have never seen anyone use anything other than 2x4 based LEGO rulers. Using something else strikes me as a bad idea... you'd be training your players to do something that no one else does. I think I've seen it played a few more times than (...) (20 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates)
