  The NEXT Pirates Legend

Black Sea Barracuda will return as the first Pirates Legend, probably helped in part that new Pirates sets have been absent for several years. It's quite possible that all the other nominees will see production as a Legend before we see another (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend

To help with the Pirate line, I would prefer to see a re-release of the Pirate mini-figs sets such as : 6204, 6251, 6252, 6257, and/or even 6265, 6266, and 6267. Hugh (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend

(...) These would all be good Classic releases. Sabre Island, Cannon Cove, and Lagoon Lockup (6265, 66, and 67 respectively for onlookers) are all solid mid-size to smallish sets. I'm not sure that they are Legends, but I wouldn't turn any of them (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend

(...) *** With the re-release of the Pirate ships, I really need to fill in the crew compliment. As the owner of 16 pirate ships and 10 scratch-built Cutters, I would welcome the extra mini-figs. (...) *** Better yet... either way, Lego could sell a (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend

(...) Press-ganging troops is always difficult. Lessee, 133 red soldiers, 120 blue, 20 black, 50 armada, and a whole lotta scurvy pirates. Not enough. More! Us pyrates never be satifisfied when it comes to loot. (...) Hi there, I'm Johnny Storm! Hi (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

<snip> Howabout a space legend instead? -JHK (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend (no whiners!)

(...) Inasmuch as it addressed you concern, why did you snip this part? "It's quite possible that all the other nominees will see production as a Legend before we see another Pirate set considered again." This topic is for AFTER the next Space, (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend (no whiners!)

(...) Uhmmm, Lugnet didn't accept the post because of too much quotes, so I deleted the whole lot. (...) Oh, well, then: I would like to see either Eldorado fotress or the trading port- I really like the trading port-plenty of bricks, the whole (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend

(...) I don't know if this counts as speculation, but my wants currently revolve around white castle walls with brick patterns. I want 6265 (Sabre Island) most of all (like 30 of them) or 6276 (Eldorado Fortress) because I don't have one, or 6277 (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend (no whiners!)

(...) Boats? Someboody needs more boats? If it had a sail, maybe.... (...) Everybody needs more Imperial Guards - unfortunately, this one has the least useful hat (a shako or a black tricorn would be *much* better - although the plain black bicorn (...)   Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend (no whiners!)

(...) Tell me about boats. For some stupid reason I bid on boats in auctions early on. Someday I'll come up with a cool MOC to make out of a ton of boats. (...) Definitely agree. Of course with all the Pirate service packs I got last year, my (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend (no whiners!)

(...) Haven't you thought about building a floating bridge ? Like the "Queen Emma Bridge" in Willemstad on the island of Curaçao. Scoll down 3 pictures on this page to see an image of it: (URL) this brirdseye view (click on the button "Curaçao" in (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend (no whiners!)

(...) Hello Frank, I've found another more close-up and detailled picture of the pontoon "Queen Emma" bridge in Willemstad, Curaçao. On this picture you can clearly see the small boat-shaped pontoons that carry this bridge. I believe that a surplus (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend (no whiners!)

(...) You can cut the link to get more pictures: (URL) would be interesting bridge, but I don't have enough boats of the same color! :( In regards to the harbor patrol, howabout it with: (URL) could even make a deal to save if you buy both... -JHK (22 years ago, 15-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend (no whiners!)

(...) Ya know, you don't need canvas sails for rowboat sails: (URL) were deep links. Here's the (as of posting unmoderated) folder: (URL) not as good looking, but it works- and is easy too mass-produce. Oh, and you can count the ship behind the boat (...)   Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend (no whiners!)

(...) True, but when you're using canvas sails for the big ships, the contrast looks a little odd... And besides, judging from the pics: (...) masthead level than there is at sail level. ;-) (...) I'm always looking forward to new ships pics! Cheers (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend (no whiners!)

(...) True... but I don't even have any small boat sails, so I have to make do. :-/ (...) <snip> (...) *Ahem* Okay: (URL) :-) -JHK (whose subscribing to lugnet.pirate!) (22 years ago, 18-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend (no whiners!)

(...) Fair enough. And if you're not a purist, you can make some nice sails from paper or cloth too. (...) Much better! I must say I like your anchor, too. Nicely done. Cheers Richie (22 years ago, 18-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)
