My own prediction last year was that if Adventurers continued (and I predicted
Lost World/Dinotopia!) Pirates would not return. I agree with you that that
still holds true. I'm not sure where Adventurers can go next year except some
form of mythical lost civilization (Atlantis, whatever). I suspect this time
that it has run its course - this was a bonus year that orginally wasn't in
their plans is my guess. Whether or not Pirates returns is something else
entirely, but it remains a popular theme in other toy lines.
