Re: Reading and posting with outlook

(...) Nope, the web interface is the only way to avoid the confirmation e-mails. There have been several discussion on this topic ever since the system was put into place, and they all boil down to the fact that only the web offers a good reliable (...)   Reading and posting with outlook

Hi. Just joined Lugnet a bit ago. I think I can finally post now :) The only thing is, is there anyway to post using outlook without e-mail verification besides the web interface? I appreciate all the work Todd put into the site to keep spam and (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.people.newbie)

What means "score" in search results?

Hello, getting search results from the news search, there are blue lines with a value for "score". What means the number displayed there? Thank you in advance, René (22 years ago, 21-Jun-02, to lugnet.people.newbie)

(...) Bill and Nicole, thank you again. This time I am posting from my system. The suggestion of checking the email address was the right one (I did not have my real name in the email just the mangled address). I will be lurking around a bit before (...)   Re: Newbie with a news setup problem

(...) Hello Bill, Let me thank you (and all Nicole) for your reply. From what I see in your headers, you use a config similar to mine which is a Linux box running NNTP server (INN) and I post locally then I try to upload (I still get rejected). (...) (...) said when you signed up. For example look at my From: line above. If I said "Bill Ward" or even "William R. Ward" with a dot after the "R", then it would reject my post with that message. This is most likely the cause. --Bill. (22 years ago, 14-Jun-02, to lugnet.people.newbie)

Newbie with a news setup problem

Hello all, I have got approval finally to post here, but my posts from my system are still rejected.   unsubscribing

Re: Hi, I'm a newbie, blah blah blah

Re: Hi, I'm a newbie, blah blah blah
