Stop being so nasty then. What's the big deal. I can't remember anymore.

Eric, your constant whinging, passive-aggressive personal attacks, and
cowering behind the skirts of someone who actually posted a new set of rules,
are all really starting to bug me.

Whateva...

Why don't you come right out and argue with me directly? This cowardly
borderline personality tantrum is unbecoming someone who claims to be a
professional.

When did I say that I am professional, only people who work for LEGO are the
real pros.

I have no will to continue to argue with you. Perhaps we can talk about what
erks you so much. You got to understand, I am not going to lay back and let you
constantly abuse me. Try being nice for a change.

I remember a time when we were cool with eachother. I was so very glad to meet
you. We said nice things to eachother. You said you put my picture on your
desktop. I mean, where did the love go?

Oh I remember, you did a kind thing! You made new Navigation buttons for the
.mecha sidebar. That was very kind and proactive of you. When I told you I was
having trouble with Mr. Johaan my co-cuator and I needed to ask his permission
to change them out of respect for him, you really didn't want to hear that.

You just wanted me to use your nifty buttons. When I said "hey these are cool,
but I have to talk it over with my co-curator, you got really offended and our
relationship has been sour ever since.

You literally go out of your way to harrass me, talk behind my back, make snive
comments and worse.

Soren, I have always admired your skills. Fought like heck to induct you to the
LMHoF. Hung out side with you during Brick Fest at Rocklands, I have given and
given and given. Because I believe in you.

I say no to your Navigation buttons and you make me the worst enemy in your
life.

That is where we went wrong. I have NEVER done anything but be kind to you.
Sure when you say something nasty I fire back. So what? There's that circle
again.

What really matters to me is that you come to grips with your hatred.
All I ever wanted from this place is to meet other people who know what a 1x1
is. Because I don't know anyone around here (where I live) who does.

Let alone a person like you who is a master at building Anime inspired works of
art!

Do you know during Brick Fest 2003 and the NWBC 2003, when people were not
around, I stood and stared at your Mortar Head Mecha. Astounded and amazed.

I still feel like that.

Soren, all you have ever done is judge me on my problems with others.
I say again, I never insulted you, screwed you over or anything.

When I fought with people over my Beeesh Mecha, you sent me emails saying how
you simply did not have respect for me anymore because of my arguments with
people who I have had my own problems with.

Soren, those issues did not concern you. Yet you acted like I was saying those
things or having those arguments with you.

You are the king of the fence sitters my friend. I have been judged by you from
my problems with others.

Then when I say no or hold on to your Nav buttons, you make a circus out of this
sillyness.

I say again, I never had anything but the upmost respect for your bricksmanship.

When we used to chat on AIM the only thing that bugged me was your bagging on
other people's MOCs. Using foul language and other dissmissive language.

Please understand, where I live people treat eachother like that all the time.
I really find it distasteful. That is why I had to start distancing myself.

Me, when I posted I knew you wouldn't accdept a contest that didn't cater to
your strengths (sheer size and gimmick value), so I figured I'd have some fun
and do a MOC I've wanted to do for a while, and if you accepted, fine.

Not really bro, look. That design you pointed out is amazing. Let's really try
to build it. Not make a nano version at less than 12 inches.

Please, understand, we are so far apart in building techniques we really ought
to settle on a compromise, not attack each other so much. It's gonna be
Christmas for lords sake!

Fuck this, I'm out of the contest. I got into this hobby to enjoy myself and
make stuff I thought was cool, not get a second job that doesn't pay. You go
off and pretend to be an artist in your haze of pot smoke - I'll stick to
doing what I like, for fun.

See there you go again, and for the Nth time I'll say it again.

I teach kids. I do not do drugs.
It is so incredibly disrespectful to say that and to perpetuate that.
I didn't stand for it when Adrian made his comment, why do you think it is ok
for you to say that?

I want you to know, I have had some friends OD on drugs. I lost them.
So it hurts me in ways you cannot understand when you say false hoods like that.

Some were talented musicans, others were brillant artists who went over the
edge. I live in the city area and it is a fact of life. I can only thank my
father for teaching me to stay away from drugs.

My mother, the wonderful woman she is would not tolerate any drugs in the house,
so you are so far off it isn't funny. Besides, when I am home, we talk and have
dinner. After that, I am out and about networking setting up shows and spending
time with the ladies.

Then I focus and go to my studio and begin to create.

Do you know what starving artist means?
It means I don't live off mommy, it means there are days when I am hungry.

So I work hard to create and sell my art so I can survive.
Then I teach to make ends meet. Which I love. Teaching has taught me many
lessons. Mostly of kindness and giving. We are all on this blue ball together.

Soren

Soren, give up this fight. You have obsessed over me for too long. Years now.
I stand by my convictions. I have the right to exist without your harrasing me.
I also have the will and determination to see if this grand experiment called
living as an artist will work.

If not, I'll go back to the work force. I am capable. I believe in myself.

What is it going to take to reconcile with you? Certainly not a contest.
Certainly not building until my fingers are bruised.

What ever it is Soren, let's do it. Because in the end it is your building
skills and wonderful ideas that draw me to you. Let go of this anger and in turn
I can let go too.

I admit holding anger inside, though I gotta say, attack after attack and back
room smack to boot, I have a tough time in wanting to be nice.

But being nice is better than hearing your curses and vulgarity.
The measure of a man is in his actions. So now I offer to you an olive branch.

Yours,

Eric Sophie
