Re: Bad News! Plane down in NYC

In lugnet.off-topic.debate, Erik Olson writes: <he's OK> Yaay. But our hearts surely go out to those who are not. The major news sites are doing better at handling load than during 911 but just in case people can't get to them, here's a short (...)   Re: Bad News! Plane down in NYC

Hi folks, I think you know more about this than I do. I'm in Manhattan. My home is in Kew Gardens, a short distance from JFK airport. -Erik (24 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.people)

  Re: My dad

(...) My condolences to you and your family. Even though you never got to show him the plane, it is evident that you spent a lot of time and care to build it for him-- I'm sure this care and consideration was reflected in your relationship with him (...)   Re: My dad

I'm really sorry to hear about your father. I really like that model that you did, unfortuntely I never did post any feedback for it, until now. But since I'm not familiar with military aircraft I can't comment on how realistic it is, but that (...) (24 years ago, 10-Nov-01, to lugnet.people)

  My dad

My father passed away today. A couple of weeks ago I completed a model of the PB4Y-2 "Privateer", the plane he flew during the Korean War. I was originally planning to bring it to his birthday dinner (October 22), but it wasn't done in time, and I (...) (24 years ago, 10-Nov-01, to lugnet.people, lugnet.org.us.baylug)

LEGO Maniac's Webring out of hibernation

Hi everyone! With several questions about the ring finally prompting me to do something, I've named Kyle Keppler and Stephen Roberts as new caretakers of the ring system. They will process ring submissions and keep the ring active until a more (...) (24 years ago, 8-Nov-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.general, lugnet.people) !

Re: Updated Shuttle MOC (thread dragged over from .general)

If I were to re-post older (blurry) pics of the shuttle, the only noticeable difference would be the lack of landing gear. The shuttle used to sit on a stack of six CDs, so I decided some feet would do it justice. They are true to the actual model - (...) (24 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.people)

(...) Some more dates: September, 1999 Datsville (at first LCADville) was born.
