Hi,
This is driving me crazy - I THINK Ive done the searches correctly but I
cant find anything..
Does LEGO make a pin that has studs on both sides?
I can distinctly remember building a recent kit (maybe a SW Mini? Spider
Man?) that had a really small Technic pin in it. This pin fit into the
underside of a plate, and allowed you to put another part 180 degrees to the
first part..
I dont have any clone parts (well, except for the ones I made myself!) so I
couldnt have been thinking of other companies hermaphrodite parts..
If this part exists, can you tell me the LEGO part number?
Thanks,
Darrell

Yes and no. A year back or so, someone was asking if TLC had ever made 1x1
plates in orange. I could not find any, but I did try some LEGO-modification by
taking a 1x1 plate with clip-lite and very carefully trimming off the clip-lite
with an xacto knife, therby yielding a 1x1 plate in orange. I kept staring at
the abused clip-lite wondering what it might be good for... eureka! it has the
equivalent of a male stud on both sides. So, yes, there is a way to use a Lego
part to do what you want, but not exactly what the gods in Billund had intended
tho.
cheers, Ray
