Hi,
This is driving me crazy - I THINK Ive done the searches correctly but I cant
find anything..
Does LEGO make a pin that has studs on both sides?
I can distinctly remember building a recent kit (maybe a SW Mini? Spider Man?)
that had a really small Technic pin in it. This pin fit into the underside of a
plate, and allowed you to put another part 180 degrees to the first part..
I dont have any clone parts (well, except for the ones I made myself!) so I
couldnt have been thinking of other companies hermaphrodite parts..
If this part exists, can you tell me the LEGO part number?
Thanks,
Darrell

| (...) Nope. Not that I've ever seen. (...) The only pin with a stud on it is the (URL) 1/2 pin>, though the TECHNIC pin tip is only slightly wider than a stud, and can usually be used like one. In fact, many of the basic bricks are being produced (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.parts, FTX)

| (...) I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist. I've definitely never seen it in any Mini SW sets, nor in any other LEGO set. Terry (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.parts, FTX)

| (...) Like others have said, no I don't think there's such a pin. However, I have tried using this part: (URL) When I was a kid, I broke the "clip" part off the 1x1 plate and used the round clip to attach two plates back to back. You'll have a (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.parts, FTX)

| (...) No, Lego apparently can't justify the cost of producing the mold for such a part, nor that of a plate with studs on both sides; however, you can have your fill of useful parts like this: (URL) :-) Mark (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.parts, FTX)

| (...) Just for the sake of completeness, I'll mention that to my knowledge Tyco produced and sold the only LEGO-compatible single pin male:male connector. Tyco also produced a 2x2 male:male connector plate that was thinner than a normal plate, as (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.parts, FTX)

| (...) Yes and no. A year back or so, someone was asking if TLC had ever made 1x1 plates in orange. I could not find any, but I did try some LEGO-modification by taking a 1x1 plate with clip-lite and very carefully trimming off the clip-lite with an (...)
