(...) Using a BBB wheel would be the best starting point. I know that many of the train builders in Europe use the old spoked wheel, with a custom metal flanged tire added. I'd recomend turning a standard BBB to remove the flang and a git of the (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.parts.custom, lugnet.trains)

Sorry for replying to my own post but I just thought of something that some of these wheels may need to incorporate. I bet there needs to be some sort of rubber traction "tire" on non-conducting wheels. I would hate to see all this get mocked up and (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.parts.custom)

My thinking was to use a technic beam as the support structure and have a small ball bearing (bee bee?) and spring in one of the technic holes behing the wheel. That way, (...)
