  Re: Meeting August 26th - Sept 3rd?

(...) Good question. Because it has kind of become tradition I think. Other than Brikwars and Train Shows we don't tend to do much on weekends. I would love to do a build meeting someday where we just take the NELUG collection and go at it. Of (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Meeting August 26th - Sept 3rd?

(...) given that it would be a 3 hour drive to get to the bridge to get off cape on the 1st or 2nd, i'd shoot for the 30th, myself. but i'll go with the flow :) (...) ah well, i'll just have to stick to the drinks then :) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Meeting August 26th - Sept 3rd?

(...) I'd love to too :) As for where to do it... hm... A Brandeis room costs moula, sadly... I could investigate rooms at WPI, though-- I still know a couple people out that way who work there, so I might be able to swing getting a room for free. (...)   Re: Meeting August 26th - Sept 3rd?

(...) Free is best of course but we do have a little cash left in our account. So if people don't mind using some of it to pay for a room for a day I guess we could do that. Besides I don't think the Brandeis room was more than $35 or $40 the other (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Meeting August 26th - Sept 3rd?

(...) And there is always the posibility of doing it at my place at the great price of $0.00 plus food shipping and handling, provided that I get the approval of the AllMightyHeadoftheHo...yExistence er... I mean my wife. J.- (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Meeting August 26th - Sept 3rd?

(...) I'd like to put my vote in for a weekend meeting. By the time I tear myself away from work during the week it's far too late for doing anything but watch reruns of Junkyard Wars and Iron Chef. Actually, considering the drive, I think I'd have (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Meeting August 26th - Sept 3rd?

(...) <snip> (...) Well of course I had you in mind because of the great room you have but I didn't want to volunteer you :-). The only issue with your location is that it is a little bit of a hike for some people. (...) Ah yes... I have one of (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Meeting August 26th - Sept 3rd?

(...) Absolutely ;-) (...) Yes, I understand that, I live in the outer rim, a.k.a. the edge of the known universe. The closest T-Commuter Rail station to my house is Route 2- I495, and the only way to have this work out for people is if someone can (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Meeting August 26th - Sept 3rd?

Ooo, ooo, ooo! That's just me sounding off in favor of a meeting at WPI. I know that it's a hike for pretty much all of you, but from a selfish perspective it's by far my best shot at convincing my AllMightyHeadoftheHo...yExistence to let me meet (...)   Re: Meeting August 26th - Sept 3rd?

(...) Wow! Someone who actually votes for the Worcester idea! Where were you when I was still living there? ;) I also know someone else who's a former RTL'er and former LUGNET lurker who might be interested... 'Course he's never been one to have (...)   Re: Meeting August 26th - Sept 3rd?

Well, I only recently (in the last three months) moved here (to Holden) from Vermont. I was an NELUG member the while in Vermont, but of course, I couldn't participate in anything, since everything happens close to Boston, so when we decided to move (...)
