    New street scene —Tom Duggan
Hello everyone, I have put up a few pictures of my redesigned street scene, as well as a few other things I made for the train show. Check them out at (URL) let me know what you think. Thanks Tom D (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: New street scene —Eric Kingsley
(...) Tom, This looks great. I don't think we will need to worry much about scenery this time around. If anything I am worried about not having enough room. Eric Kingsley (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: New street scene —Shaun Sullivan
Tom, That looks amazing! I am completely and utterly in awe of yours and Eric's street scenes. I hope to be able to foray into a street scene at some point. Believe it or not, I'm finding myself strapped for the pieces needed jsut to make a couple (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: New street scene —Tom Duggan
Hey Shaun, Thanks for the kind words I'm going to try to make it on the 17th. If I do go, I will probably just watch, and get a feel for the game so I will know how to play next time around. That train crossing was actually one of the inspirations (...) (24 years ago, 3-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: New street scene —Eric Joslin
(...) Tom- I think it's fantastic. I love it, and I think the two expanded scenes placed even near each other on the same layout are going to blow people away. And, like Shaun, I hope you can bring it to BrikWars on the 17th... :D Anyway, in (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

NELUG Standards... (Re: New street scene) —Eric Kingsley
(...) I think this would be a great idea, I actually thought about mentioning this myself a couple of times but never got around to formalizing my thoughts. For myself I have come up with a very simple Street Light design that I like a lot. I also (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: NELUG Standards... (Re: New street scene) —Tom Duggan
I think a standard would work for most of the stuff. But I don't think we should make everything look exactly the same. In real life there are different types of lights and signs and stuff, sometimes as close as from one street to the next. It all (...) (24 years ago, 3-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: NELUG Standards... (Re: New street scene) —Eric Kingsley
(...) OK I put up CAD drawings of a few things like my Streetlamp. I don't know how everyone feels about standards but I wanted to put up what I had. If others have some designs for items like these let us know. Maybe at our next meeting we can (...) (24 years ago, 4-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: NELUG Standards... (Re: New street scene) —Tom Duggan
Those look good. I will probably make a few dumpsters, but don't think I can change my street lamps, since I don't have enough gray antennas. I may change my traffic lights to match yours, mine are similar already, but about half as tall. Someone (...) (24 years ago, 5-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: New street scene —Jorge Fernandez
(...) Wow! It is amazing! Beautiful. Your layout and Eric K's are like good wine, they get better and better with time. They are similar, yet different. Can't wait for the show to see it live. Have you consider taking it to the next Brikwar game? (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: New street scene —Eric Kingsley
(...) I don't know about Tom but I mentioned to Shaun that I am going to make every effort to be at the next game with my street scene. I need to practice transporting it once anyway so I have an idea of how much work its going to be. Besides my (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: New street scene —Jorge Fernandez
(...) Great!!! I'm looking forward to see all your new stuff. I don't have an amazing collection, that gives me enough space to have a big war, and your buildings are going to be a great addition to the whole thing. Thanks for being there. If you (...)          Re: New street scene —Tom Duggan
Eric, I have taken the day of the setup off of work, so I could come by and take a few things in my car. It's not a very big car, but I should be able to take a few things. What time can we get in for setup anyways? Tom D (...) (24 years ago, 3-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: New street scene —Eric Kingsley
(...) Tom, This would be GREAT!!! Especially seeing that you and I are probably the 2 closest members Geographically to the show anyway and close to each other. I don't have a firm time just yet but I seem to remember that it was going to be earlier (...) (24 years ago, 4-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: New street scene —Eric Joslin
(...) Well... BrikWars was purposely scheduled for the 17th, which is two Saturdays before the show. Shaun and I assumed (we came to this conclusion seperately) that people might want to have that last week for building! :D I know that we can do 2, (...)          Re: New street scene —Eric Kingsley
(...) That definitely works for me too the only issue being 5 because I don't know if I will have the official passes by then. Otherwise there is no other reason why we couldn't do it then (assuming it has stopped snowing by then...) Eric Kingsley (24 years ago, 5-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: New street scene —Jorge Fernandez
(...) 1.- Oh yes... Guiness will be there... and Corona, and Bud, and... Ok, you get the point, no objection. 2.- Talk LEGO by default. :) :) :) :) :) 3.- Eat BBQ is kind of hard, but I believe there is a place that we can ask some BBQ stuff from, (...)         Re: New street scene —Chris Phillips
(...) These models are awesome! I started building a water tower like yours also! Is yours made out of those quarter-round pieces from the Droid's Escape set too? Yours looks much more realistic than mine does... Timmy on a rampage! Yikes! (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)
