LEGO on sale at "Til Tuesday" stores. They have a meager assortment of Lego
System sets and several Throwbots marked down about 50% from retail. The
largest set they had was Insectoid Base which selling for $50.00. They also
had the Droid Developer set for $30.00 and several rare small sets.

Hello Again,

I received permission to use the conference center at my office. It has
tables and chairs for about 60 people but it's a little short on open • floor
space, so anyone bringing parts for trade will want to bring a blanket to
spreadout on a table. Here are the address and directions:

Hey, that sounds really neat! Our own, temporary, Lego command center!

Well, gosh-darn-it, I'm sure as shootin' gonna try to make this meeting!
(Sorry, been watching too much "Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot" <Grin>)

I was looking for a fellow LUGnut to carpool with for this meeting (I'm
a little transportation-challenged right now), and LUGOLA member Jimmy
offered to take me there. Thanks Jimmy! I'm very appreciative!

So I look forward to meeting everyone for the first time, especially
Bryce (and his monster mechs) and Brian (I've seen your awesome Star
Wars stuff on the Web).

In other news, I was recently at Downtown Disney and visited the Lego • Store
there. My goodness, I've never seen so many Lego knick-knacks in one • place!!
I wanted to get some Lego SW figures, but naturally, they were out of the
Darth Vader/Emperor/Darth Maul 3-pack. Harrumph...

I was at E3 (the big videogame trade show) last weekend, and made sure to
check out the Lego booth. They had Bionicles, Mindstorm, and Studio sets • on
display. I also noticed some new dinosaur figures. While I was playing • with
them, another trade show attendee commented that these Lego dinos were • part
of a new line being released in Japan this year. He then pulled out a
Japanese Lego catalog and let me see them for myself. I think there were
7 Lego dinosaurs, ranging from mostly blocks with a special head and tail
(Ankylosaurus) to mostly special-made parts (Allosaurus or T-Rex).
Hopefully, we'll see those here in 2002.
Among the Lego games was one based on Harry Potter. I'm not kidding!
I think Lego might be going a little too license-crazy...

That's the news, have a pleasant tomorrow.
