SF LEGO at Philcon 2005: call for participants

LEGO programming will be returning to the 2005 (URL) Philcon> SF convention! This will be the second year with an official exhibit and events. (And the third year as part of the Children's Program, but don't let that scare you, AFOLs.) Plans include (...)   Schleiffen Torpedo bomber...

I don't usually post here on Lugnet, but figured I might as well considering this is what I consider as one of my better minifig models. Without further ado, the Schleiffen Torpedo bomber: (URL) a crew of 3 (pilot, bombardier/weapons officer, (...) (21 years ago, 14-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.scibrick)

Re: What is happening with SciBrick??

(...) Thank you for the support! (...) I know there are a fairly large number of people who are interested, but would like to see the org take shape before really committing themselves - which is why I made my post! Once again, thanks for the (...) (21 years ago, 1-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.scibrick, FTX)

Re: What is happening with SciBrick??

(...) Thanks! (...) Yes - thats the idea. (...) We have a membership list, and it is also in flux. :o) Right now we have a discussion list on yahoogroups, but given some problems with yahoogroups, I'm contemplating other options. -Lenny (21 years ago, 1-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.scibrick, FTX)

Re: What is happening with SciBrick??

(...) Lenny, I think the streamlining of the mission statement is a step in a good direction, blazing a path that is more clearcut from the start, so to speak. I can recall sitting in the Mosaic room at Brickfest '03 and hearing about SciBrick for (...) (21 years ago, 1-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.scibrick, FTX)

  What is happening with SciBrick??

Hey Lenny, what is up with SciBrick?? I've been getting this question off and on since the (URL) 'We Want You' Affair>, and my answer has been mostly "SciBrick is re-organizing itself, developments to be mentioned later." I'd like to expand upon (...) (21 years ago, 31-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.scibrick, FTX)

Re: Is there an official "membership" for SciBrick?

(...) Sure. Keep in mind we don't have to use your suggestions ;) - but I'm always open to hearing people's ideas. What sort of suggestions did you have in mind? It might be more appropriate to email me about them (Comm.Officer@scibrick.org) than to (...) (22 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.scibrick)

Re: Is there an official "membership" for SciBrick?

(...) Hey Jeff, Yes SciBrick has an actual membership - we've mainly been discussing how to respond to whats been happening lately.   Is there an official "membership" for SciBrick?

Is there an official "membership" for SciBrick? I'm asking because there still isn't much on the website and the only thing I see here is a "heated debate". I'm a die hard Lego Space fanatic, since before I owned the Lunar Landing set (you know, the (...) (22 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.scibrick)

Re: SciBrick is looking for you!

Sorry for prolonging this, but a few things in the post below trouble me.   Re: SciBrick is looking for you!

Re: SciBrick is looking for you!

(...) Depends how much space you need to save, I guess. If you're using varchar's or text fields (for profiles certainly), you're only adding an extra... 2 bytes for a null entry? Forget if it's 1 or 2. So maybe 18 bytes extra per member. I guess (...) (22 years ago, 25-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.scibrick, FTX)

Re: SciBrick is looking for you!

(...) I think I might have required unique member ids on those tables too. The idea was to keep the number of columns in sb_m down, but maybe that's not really necessary. (...)
