I could use some micro-motors, anyone have any I can borrow? Dean (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Emergency VLC meeting.

(...) Just thought I should clarify, the wood pieces are 1/4" thick. They've been cut into triangles, and each piece covers about the same area as a normal piece of paper. Uh, what are "shims"?? -Bryan (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Never-ending quest for green baseplates...

(...) I have always considered them plates! But yes, I'm talking about the 1 brick height 12 x 24 plates ... er, bricks :-) The bad news is that I was confusing them with the smaller 10 x 20 ones. Turns out I've only got 5 of the ones you're talking (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Emergency VLC meeting.

(...) Bring them tonight. Robin (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Emergency VLC meeting.

(...) The distance from the floor to the top of table is 29". I've got about six 1/4" pieces of wood that could be used as "shims" I suppose... -Bryan (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: O Scale Decals for CN Trains

(...) Excuse me for butting in but MicroScale makes O Gauge CN decals. They don't sell them on their website but you can find the item number in their catalog and look at their Links section for a dealer. (URL) I have used their Decals for my own (...)   Re: Emergency VLC meeting.

(...) Yes, I need to know how many bricks from the tables to the water to build the wharf.. Dean (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: O Scale Decals for CN Trains

(...) Maybe it wasn't you then? No worries. I'll see what I can do... Dean (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Never-ending quest for green baseplates...

(...) A couple dozen? Great!!! They would help tremendously. Bring them! Wait, 12x24 plates? Are you sure they're not bricks? (...) similar except for an additional raised portion). (...) This should work because the area I'm talking about doesn't (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Never-ending quest for green baseplates...

(...) It will be tight. (...) I really like your idea! I've probably got a couple dozen of those 12 x 24 plates. I hadn't really thought of using them, but why not! I'll scrounge up what I can, and bring it tomorrow. I also thought that we could use (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: O Scale Decals for CN Trains

(...) I don't remember doing that!? However, my first thought would be Central Hobbies in Vancouver on Grandview. They're about the biggest and best stocked train store in the city. If they can't help you, they'll send you in the right direction. (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: My LEGO catalog finally came! WOW!

(...) AFTER the show ... ;-) Robin (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Emergency VLC meeting.

(...) Bryan, could you tell me the exact distance from floor to the top of your table? I want to make some "shims", and need an idea of the quantity and type we'll need. Robin (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Never-ending quest for green baseplates...

Hi all, Looking at my feeble collection of green baseplates, I'm quite scared that we won't have enough to cover our layout. Perhaps you guys have tons of them, and I'm being pessimistic. So as a result of my worrying, I've come up with an (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: My LEGO catalog finally came! WOW!

(...) Yeah, I noticed the change in exchange rate too... Well, it was only a matter of time before they realized the 0.06 difference, which is a significant amount! So when are we gonna make a huge group order? :) Bryan (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

O Scale Decals for CN Trains

I know Robin and others gave me a couple of links to companies that sell O Scale Decals for CN and Canadian Trains. I've lost the links and do need some. (My CN Engine is coming along nicely) If you guys can post the links again... Thanks Dean (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: A thought about baseplate substitutes

(...) I've noticed that much of the layout is green and I don't think it will be. The industrial area will be gray I'd bet. Dean (23 years ago, 19-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

My LEGO catalog finally came! WOW!

Very generous space for trains! Though I DID notice that if you pay by cheque it's now 1.54. So no savings there. Credit cards come in about the same now. Cheaper if we get it on a good day. (I phoned and CC charge 1.8% on top of the exchange rate) (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
