Hi all,
Looking at my feeble collection of green baseplates, I'm quite scared that
we won't have enough to cover our layout. Perhaps you guys have tons of
them, and I'm being pessimistic.
So as a result of my worrying, I've come up with an optimistic solution that
will help save 6 green 32x32 baseplates. Basically, I'm thinking of laying
the foundation for the wilderness area.
In the wilderness area, there's a 3 (across) x 2 (down) section made up of
32x32s. I can put 4 lt grey 48x48 baseplates there instead. Part of the
four large grey baseplates will extend under the mountain, and the rest will
make up a majority of the wilderness area.
But the wilderness can't be grey - so I've got to cover it with something
else! Part of the grey can be water. Some sort of stream can flow out of
the mountain and into that body of water (BLUE stream covers more GREY
wilderness).
Then I'll cover the rest of the wilderness with green bricks. Here's where
I need help. I've got 10 green 12x24 bricks. If anybody has say... 12 more
I could borrow, then I've definitely got the wilderness area covered (no pun
intended). So if someone has a decent amount of huge green bricks, PLEASE
bring them to our meeting this Friday if possible!!! (Even though I have
the dragon sculpture, I don't want to cover the 48x48 baseplate with 2x4s!)
Is this proposal too ambitious? Please let me know!

| (...) It will be tight. (...) I really like your idea! I've probably got a couple dozen of those 12 x 24 plates. I hadn't really thought of using them, but why not! I'll scrounge up what I can, and bring it tomorrow. I also thought that we could use (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
