Re: Sadly I feel this must be voiced...

Robin Sather wrote in message <3b38facc.18061096@l...et.com>... (...) True, true. Andrew Robertson and David Gagnon are both interested but not online. When is our next meeting? Next Friday? (29th June) Kevin ---...--- Craftsman Lego Kits & Custom (...) (23 years ago, 27-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Sadly I feel this must be voiced...

(...) I agree with you, Dean, that participation is lacking. However, I think "we" can still pull it off, and have a lot of fun doing it. There is help waiting in the wings (ie. off-line), but lacking direction, they don't know what to do. I think (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Sadly I feel this must be voiced...

It is with great sadness that I write this letter. But I feel that our attending the Aug show should be canceled... We are not going to make that deadline. Our participation is sorely lacking. (With the exception of a small few) I would like to (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Ambassador train cars

(...) That's a good idea. I'd like it if everyone donated a couple of parts to it. Sort of a team effort. Who want's to design it? Dean (23 years ago, 26-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Train Show Registration Questions

(...) Once the layout is set up and built, I do not feel that it would be too much effort, except on the days for viewing, to maintain. As long as each of the club members can reserve their Lego in that form for the duration of the layout. Dean (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Train Show Registration Questions

Robin Sather wrote in message <3b322c3b.225708461@...et.com>... (...) That's great, though maybe too much work for us to do this year. Going from 1 show to 4 is pushing it a bit, no? Even if we do basically the same layout each time. Kevin ---...--- (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Robin Sather wrote in message <3b32292b.224923831@...et.com>... (...) Nope, I'll be gone from 28th July or so until late on 6 Aug.   Finalizing design, assigning tasks, and making it happen

I know that each of us is kind of working on some things already, but I think we should meet to finalize the design, and delegate responsibilities and tasks, including building, table skirting, signage, promo materials, etc. We may not need to meet (...)   Re: Train Show Registration Questions

We've had some interest from yet another Train show. They actually asked the Trains 2001 show organizers for our contact information! The show is the Mount Cheam Lions Club Model Railway Show. It takes place in Chilliwack, on October 20th and 21st, (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Train Show Registration Questions

The Trains2000 show is now booked, but final space won't be allocated until October (!). We're one of the early bookers, so our requests should not be a problem. We're almost guaranteed to be in the main display space. Robin (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Train Show Registration Questions

(...) I have some more info about the TTOS show. We will need to set up on the FRIDAY, August 3rd. The displays are up for the 4th and the 5th. Maybe Kevin will be around to help set up, before he leaves us ;-). There will be security guards on duty (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track layout for next show.

(...) Oh, I know that. I guess I was just trying to point out that I'm helping where I can. To 'encourage' others to help where 'they' can. (...)   Re: Train Show Registration Questions

(...) I would recommend that we use ALL our own stuff, even it means renting tables a rental shop and carting it there ourselves. Otherwise, it's just one more thing that can go wrong.   Re: Train Show Registration Questions

We are confirmed for the August 5th TTOS show. Actually, we might be displaying on the 4th as well. I have a question in about that. We have display space of 16 by 24 feet!! Lots of room, and it doesn't need to be completely filled, nor does it have (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track layout for next show.

(...) I've been reading all the posts. It's going well. I'll review the layout for my electoral needs and get back to you guys... Also, it's fine that the larger cable car is to be used.
