I'm definately thinking this should be open - I didn't reailze it was a
1-RCX only event so far. :-/

I'd prefer if it was in the same spot every time, but that's just beacause I
have these horrible memories of home-finding at rtl4, etc.. Rember
SUMO@Guelph? (death that outlook thinks that's a URL) We had some issues
there with robots finding other robots there too. A flag is a lot smaller
than the robot!

Pully wheel. I mostly say this, because of the reasons I pushed on the walk
to Wendy's yesterday. :) It's very needlessly difficult to try and lift an
axle that has nothing more than a bushin on it. If it's got a flange then
it's easier to fork it and lift up. This challenge is hard enough!

Oh wow! Neat concept. That'd be really interesting to see, espically if it's
random flag placement.
I agree though - it should be allowed, but that's because I think the
contest shouldn't restrict people to building a "this is how your robot must
work" kind of contest. Leave it open, see what unique solutions people come
up with.
It's like how people were saying before "10 points for crossing the
bridge" - well, what if I'm not crossing with a bridge? You know? It's sort
of like, pre-defining how the core robot has to be, so that all tha'ts left
is construction creativity and programming.

| Hi folks, I need some commentary on a few issues, as I'm going to book the room in the next few days for August 17th, 2002. a) RCXes. Currently we're at a single RCX rule. Does anyone feel that this contest might require two RCXes, especially since (...) (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
